Why is the score so low compared to the common consensus of the reviews?

I have very rarely seen this much across the board praise for a show ever, even very highly rated things I would consider to be masterpieces have negative reviews attached to them but this is just all green across the board. Why do you think the silent majority disliked this anime? Only 3 episodes in so far but I would consider it to be one of the better originals I've seen.

From what I can see, the majority of reviews are 7s and 8s. An overall review somewhere between there seems reasonable to me...

I gave it a 7 btw

I was just saying if you take a look at the reviews, there mostly all 8 and above

Reviews aren't a good way to count it, there are more people who don't write reviews than there are that do.

A lot of people dropped it after ep 2/3 because the robot world looked like a cartoon too much or they say its a low quality Attack on titan

If I remember correctly, I want to say alot of people were confused after the 3ep. I want to say alot of people judged it on that
I thought it was great and loved every second of it

I really enjoyed this alot , at first I thought it was copying aot Story, but than the Story changed in a very creative way and I really liked it , it was so fun and entertaining , I love every episode and was so hype to see what is gonna happened.this show is definitely underrated

the people that disliked it are not the silent majority, they were very vocal about it when the show aired.

some were very hard on the show for seemingly being similar in premise to attack on titan, but i think most people that were very vocal about disliking the show, voiced their distaste at the twist that happened very early on.

personally i loved it and think the show was great and remained consistently great during its entire runtime, it does not surprise me that there's such a discrepancy between reviews and score, many people judged it unfairly IMO, for those early elements and nor for the show's overall quality.

Oh, it's a shame people gave up on it as I'm really really loving this so far and cannot wait to see how it ends. Thanks for the insight bro!

I felt the show had so much potential but just squandered it, with the robots I ended up giving it a 6/10 i could see someone giving it a 7 but nothing higher

If you hit more reviews you get 2 5s, if you hit more again you get another 5, 2 6s and even a 2.

There'll always be people who detract and disagree, but as long as you enjoyed the show it really doesn't matter one bit what the average score is or isn't.

I gave an 8, for the record.

Well I for one already loved Lain.

I also dropped it after 2 episodes because I was reminded of another similar show which I dropped after watching only 1st episode which is Darling in the Franxx. I think from whatever I saw that it is more similar to this one rather than Attack on Titans.

If you look at the Stats tab, most of the scores are 8 or 7. Which means the Average should be around 7.5

Its a little lower because people gave it low ratings after episode 2.

The ending was also kinda underwhelming so I gave it a 7
