Why do they show stuff in the op that won't happen in that part

Like, how dare they give me blue balls by showing me rimuru's new outfit in the op and they don't even show it once in that part.
Anyway it's almost summer and we'll finally get part 2 and oh boy I'm excited to see what demon lord rimuru does.
Honestly this show took a whole 180 for me, season 1 started with pretty generic isekai stuff and everything is happy (except for that one episode that shizu died in) but season 2 took it to a new level

Because I think the split of the season was not intended. You have to see creating an anime takes a long time and the concept for the opening probably was already there when Covid-19 came and they couldn't work that much on the anime. So they split it but the opening stayed the same or similar.

I’m really not sure why they keep teasing us like this with the OP. This post made me realise that this isn’t the first time they’ve done this. If you watch the first OP from season one you can see Veldora in his human form and even Rimuru fighting against Hinata which only came in during season two. I guess it must be a way of generating hype for the upcoming seasons which it does a brilliant job at doing. Definitely one my fav isekais.

yeah I noticed that but the outfit one got me hyped more because it looks sick af

Pretty sure this happens in a lot of anime. Almost everything in FMAB openings never exactly took place in the anime. But yeah, ig you just gotta wait.

They did it in the first season too, I think they do it to intentionally rattle theorists and make everyone more hyped up for the next part.
