| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- We've been through lots of Kabaddi matches, but not yet one with the character cast's backstory at a time before Yoigoshi, Azemichi and others. The seniors' backstories of Misumi and no-eye Date, Misumi from a gangster junkie to a Kabaddi sportsman, taken in by the strategist Iura, and always failing to earn points for the team in competition matches while Masato racks them up. Together with Date (whom Misumi manages to goad into joining the Kabaddi team), they're the bickering friendly duo who's no match for team captain Masato and whom Iura abides as the captain's right-hand man. BFFs forever doing the same hobbies with interconnectedness. Otherwise, the whole Noukin Kabaddi team's slowly coming together with the 9-men crew. Learning as a whole team in practice helps to hone their strengths and improve on their weaknesses for their next tournament by using the agile Masato against the rest whilst Iura plans the analyzing stratagem as usual. It's a battle of the will. Another practice match with Saitama Kouyou High School and friends-cum-Kabaddi raiders Sakura Manabu and Uto Hiromoto, and the Noukin team is looking for more improvements, more than settling the score of promise between Masato, Sakura and Utou. This will be one intense practice match. |

| We got the backstory of Kyouhei who was tricked into Kabaddi by Iura just like what he did to Yoigoshi. LOL. It was a surprise to see that Kyouhei and Shinji didn't get along at all initially and now they're best buddies. Captain really put both of them in their places. Oujou really showed them experience is one hell of a drug that can't be overcome in a day. The new players are learning this in a rough way even the ones who are playing it for a couple of years now. Kyouhei really did his homework this time around and he managed to bring Oujou down, couldn't save the point but still, he has come a long way and has definitely improved the team's defensive force over time. For now, they are going for another practice match which is against Saitama Kouyou. |

| This episode we had the not-so-wholesome start of Date and Misumi's friendship but they became best friends which was wholesome. There wasn't much comedy this week but we got, from what it looks like, upgraded animations. Especially the close up to their feet sprint scenes in the Misumi vs Ojo part. It was more of a filler episode imo (and it felt like it was cut short at the ending lol ππ). The first half at least. But it looks like we're gonna have a banger episode next week though! |

| Kyouhei was tricked into Kabaddi lmao xD He improved a lot, seems like he has to play a different style now. The ''old'' teammates aka Sakura learned everything from Ojo. looks really strong. |

| It was nice to see the contrast between the two teams. Liked the way they showed us Kyouhei's backstory and how he became good friends with Date. It was pretty awesome when he almost got Masato. Looking forward to this new practice match. Curious to see what they can do. |

| Nice to see Misumi's backstory a bit. He went from being a bully/fighter to being a good defender. He almost got Ojo too. Also good to see that Misumi and Date's friendship develop overtime. As I predicted before, there is gonna be another interschool practice match. Waiting to see what can this Sakura guy do. |

| misumi's mom.. milf. kei is rly good at threatening people huh lmao the matches are still fun to watch but there's a pattern thats starting to make it less enjoyable. when the captain plays, he'll win. he's undefeatable, in strength him being only skin and bones doesnt matter because he's.. him. op monster captain. |

| First things first, Misumi's mom is a milf lmao. Pretty good episode! Misumi's backstory was really nice, men talk through their fist personified right there. Now, Date and Misumi are best buds. I like how they're really taking their time for the training, and now we finally got another practice match and based on that preview, it's gonna be fire, literally. |

| Kyouhei & Shin bromance!!!!!! I’m glad that Kyouhei found kabaddi to channel his restlessness. And is still trying to improve himself. He has also found a good pal from thisβ‘ Loved seeing Yoigoshi in his uniform β‘_________β‘ And Sakura sure is cute ( Ν‘° ΝΚ Ν‘°) What a name for a guy hahaha I also love how he literally treats Masato like his king lollllol |

| ig misumi was the one most lacking since he never played any sports and had the bad boy persona but he turned around the situation and it appears a fire was lit under him now curious to see what techniques ojo passed to each one of them and especially yoigoshi. |

| I will say this is one of the weaker episodes of the show so far, I think its because Episode 8 was so good and focused on Ban looking up to Tatsuya and all the new character introductions, that this random backstory episode exploring Misumi and Date was kinda random. I still liked it though, shows insight on how Misumi used to be quick to fight which Iura used to an advantage to get him to join the team. I also really like the way they handled where the team was never really official before Tatsuya and Azemichi joined and other than the four upperclassmen, it was just random guys. Back to Misumi. I love how they showed his and Date's character dynamic, since they were always together during Kabaddi, having them suddenly not together was really interesting. Also it did introduce to our next match arc of the season which I'm excited for, I loved the last one and i'm really interested in what it had in store for us My complaint is that the episode kinda dragged but it was still great! |

| Ah, backstory for Misumi and Date's partnership. Not something we really needed but received to make Misumi taking down Ojo more dramatic and impressive. Well done Misumi. |
