----------------------------------------
The victor's emerged: the slave Cestvs with his back-fisted "Rabbit Punch" Decapitator attack on Emden. Now that's a long drought of a match finally brought to an end. And in typical fashion: the loser has to be klled, and Cestvs does the impossible once again. Only this time, Lady Sabina personally comes to the arena floor to dispel the riot and bid Emden farewell for the final time.

Zafar personally comes to find Emden to ask about the disparity of both Decapitator attacks, and Emden's one was an estranged backstory about how he met some shady 3rd-rate slave boxer who can identify his skills at foresight, and refining the Decapitator and other skills from him, taken as his master. But to think that both Zafar and Emden share the same master: Democritus of Cadiz, this man's evil amounts of danger for expermentations and test subjects.

The life of a slave boxer whose soul was sold off to the devil many times over, what a life for Emden. And Cestvs has recovered well, and off to the next place of interest.

Finally, his recognition is deserved with the thumbs up gesture, what a ceremony for a slave boxer-cum-future hero. And with it, the end of the Pompeii arc.

Ruddock is so hot, and he won all remaining five matches, which is also very amazing consider that the injure he intensely collected in a period of two days. I hope he'll appear more!

Sabina makes me wanna punch her in the face. What a horrible woman. Cestvs finally won the fight with his one-hit killer move. Emden did really well but it was Cestvs's day.

Emden also told Zafar about his past and his mysterious master, Democritus of Cadiz who taught him the Decapitator, the same move Cestvs used against him. In the end, Emden went on his journey, I guess and Cestvs got a lot of praise and recognition from the citizens of Pompeii. I hope we'll get to see more of Emden in the future.

ok I know that big guy getting up was meant to be all tense and stuff, but it really sounded like he had constipation and was about to take a massive dump lmao

but anywho nice to see cestvs winning if anything at least the fight was well paced and didn't drag out too long.

But I'm curious about the ending if that narration about pompeii was just an informative one or actually indicating a time skip.

I was really confused as to why the last episode ended on the climax
I assumed we were in for another 20 minute fight sequence the next episode, and that we were only one third of the way

but no, the fight ended literally straight away in the first minute of ep 6. Why didn't they finish it in ep 5? It's not like the aftermath of the fight wasn't interesting, we got to hear some intriguing backstories and see the turmoil of the arena after Cestvs won.

This seals the deal for me. I had hope for this anime that it would turn out well despite its animation drawbacks, but the direction is genuinely incompetent.

The end of the episode is interesting lmao. Just talking about what happened in Pompei, then Sabina met her end through that, but so did the broken nose dude I believe. Quite unfortunate but that is how it is.

My standards for a "good" anime are very low, but my standards for a "really good anime" are incredibly high, so I end up giving mostly everything a 7
however in this case that 7 represents the hope that I'm wrong. If Cestvs continues the way it is now it'll probably drop down to a 6, however no matter what the combat and the plot will probably remain really good (thanks to the manga). Because of that I don't think it'll ever drop below a 6

The Decapitator of Cestvs is far more refined than Emden causing him to win! very nice!
oh w0w! so the Master of Emden is also the Master of Zafar!?!?

As expected, Cestvs won. It was nice to see him get respect from the townspeople at the end of the episode. Interesting backstory about Emden too, and how he had the same sketchy teacher that Zafar had.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

Sad for Emden as at the end of the day he's seen as slave and not as human but at least he's no longer Sabina's slave.
