Oh shit, the space police. I have to admit, Weisz is a badass pilot. And it's a good thing they managed to save Pino.

Elsie is back again...and that means trouble. This turned into a cat and mouse like game. As usual, Shiki isn't afraid of anyone including Elsie. Reminds me of Natsu's level of confidence. Typical Edens Zero to throw in tentacles and to no one's surprise, Rebecca gets caught into it LOL

That Elsie cliffhanger :o

Plunder, fight, eat, sleep, repeat. Best life.

And didn't take long until some tentacle action.

Nice episode. Escaping the police with Weisz's EG, which rearranged the ship so they could escape into space. Explanation as to what happened to them, there was no time travel, time was stolen by a creature known as Chronophages, time eaters that reverse the clock of a planet to a previous state, permanently, that means this Weisz is completely separate now from the professor, just a younger version of him, but can do what he wants now. Then Elsie kidnaps them with the intention of plundering and selling them off, but Shiki has the bright idea of Uno reversing the plundering and claiming the Skull Fairy for themselves. He goes to confront her while the rest are stuck in a tentacle situation. I still love how Becca doesn't take anyone's shit and shoots the tentacles with Happy, while leaving resident scumbag Weisz wrapped lol. Next week Shiki vs Elsie, hype.

Sibir is dealt, but the space police is always a constant threat for all, whether land or air. But to think that the Weisz from 50 years past is able to upgrade Rebecca's ship using Ether Gear, that was possibilities unseen before time.

So Norma's 50-year disparity only affects those living in Norma, and the Chronophage is to blame for the time difference, that's a fact.

And then, space pirates, which only means Elsie and her gang of the Seven Seas, what space culture of Hiro Mashima are we living in. Plunder, fight, eat, sleep, then plunder again, that's the way of pirates.

Fighting in the Skull Fairy is an easy job for Shiki, and of course, Rebecca got her fanservice moment with tentacles. Truly scum for young Weisz lols. Time to face the true Elsie Crimson, the cyborg space pirate. Fiilled with anticipation.

So, the professor Weiz (now i will call him that way) had the Ether Gear too, eh? Thats new. He even can rebuilt and improved the ship only with his gear. Thats the real professor for yah! I wonder where he got that thing, considering he trapped at those past new reality. Ah, whatever shit about that, let aside it for a while.

Time-eating snake space. What a wild idea having a random beast in their universe space, feasting on star or planet only to steal their time. Its even created the really new reality over their preys. How the mechanism of their hunt, or other aspects surrounding that beasts, its kinda intriguing to be honestly. However, as the first impression, idk how should i react over that thing, because its unexpected xd. Time really doesn't matter at their universe, i see....

So, in the little time they had, they've suddenly met the space pirates, and catching them easily like a fuckin fresh fish. The present professor successfully escape, but they were facing another trouble. Heh, a bunch of space zombie tentacles surely good enough to break the tension, especially at the later scene. Silly fanservice for the win! Poor Rebecca being the object of author sexual desires and she should've done more nasty thing to the young Weiz to giving the fair service. Lol.

Whatever. Lets move on!

Pretty good episode! That explains the time shenanigans, the concept is honestly really cool, chronophage eating planets time, that probably isn't the last we saw of him. It's great that Weisz joining them will not create any time paradoxes, Old Weisz is a cultured individual though. Pino is made by the Demon Lord/Shiki's grandfather huh.

I am no tentacle guy, but I always like me some Rebecca fanservice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), also like that Weisz got a taste of his own medicine lmao, equal tentacles for everyone. Elsie looks cool as hell, she's definitely related to the Demon Lord somehow. Looking forward to the plunder battle.

Upon a closer look, Weisz is quite muscular! And since he's not afraid to harass other people, then it should be acceptable for me to harass him too, sexually...

Rebecca is thicc as always, Shiki is excited as always, Weisz seems like a reliable guy but we'll see. They managed to escape Norma but ended up in the ship of space pirates. Elsie Crimson is here as well (I miss Erza T_T). Shiki is going to fight her. Doesn't look like a good idea to me. Fan service is still top-tier. LOL

It's like what Xiamei explain some episode ago. We don't have to take care of the time concept and for those who don't read the manga, they will understand in the future (but maybe not this season even if we will probably have 24/25 ep)

Oh so it wasn't time travel but the planet's time was eaten by a time eating monster named Chronophage, interesting. So Weisz also has a ether gear which can rebuild machines, that's cool.

Elsie and crew trying to plunder from Shiki lol. Also woa she's a machine?

It's nice to get an explanation as to why Norma was 50 years in the past. The concept of "time being eaten" was even crafted in a way that prevents the possibility of a time paradox, which was probably something many viewers would worry about. It's good to see that Mashima covered his bases there and established the fact that there would be no effects.

Anime-only

As I thought, they'd return to their present time when they left the clouds of Norma.

So Pino's master was the Demon Lord/Shiki's grandfather.

The crew of the pirate ship have long since been killed by that parasite thing and faked a video to make the Shiki and the crew think they've been captured by pirates.

I really am surprised about the space police they really have something behind it all, but I hope I explained more about the world itself, since a part was explained during Some moments of the episode, plus the tentacles that that Rebecca scene was very well done.

Plus the end of the encounter of the battle of Shiki vs Elsie Crimson It looks Good.
You can already make some theories about fights or battles.

So the 50 years difference only works for Norma directly, and there is no temporal paradox, interesting.
And well now Erzy is assaulting them, or more like Shiki is trying to do the same to her and still her ship xD
Pseudo tentacle rape scene... it was to expect at some point with this kind of show lol

Just caught up with Edens Zero and liking it a lot. People can hate on this show and Fairy Tail all they want but I loved Fairy Tail and I think I will love Edens Zero as well.

Don’t know what it is exactly that Hiro does but I love that with both shows it isn’t hard to get into and most characters are just very likable even if they aren’t overly complex.

Also leave it to Hiro to put in his own love of fanservice in the series while not making it the main focus. Kind of like adding whipped cream to an already delicious dessert. It is not the main attraction but most of us are glad it’s there XD

I have to say, I was quite disappointed by this ep. The reveal of the Chronophage was a lot more serious, sad & shocking in the manga but in the anime it didn’t need feel like a big deal at all. It’s got me worried that the darker moments are gonna end up being downplayed and made to be more PG.

No need to invent. In the anime, Chronophage was told as much as in the manga. There was nothing more shocking, dark and sad in the manga.

I love when Rebecca goes ham shooting Happy. Always funny to watch, lol. (mainly cause she tends to do weird/ lewd-like poses when doing it... last time she did it, she spread her legs, this time she was in tentacles, WOOOW~~~) (so many Rebecca "materials" this series gives)

Space Pirate Erza looks nice.

Also, want to mention that Machine Ether Gear sounds OP... just imagine what he could have done if he master it and used it on the Pirate Ship.

That´s an error
In the manga she says

( Please Take me with you.. To the future ) and she was sad compared to the Anime when she said that.

Yeah in that scene the subtitle wasn't matching with what they were saying. By the level of Japanese I know I understood what she actually said “Please take me with you, I want to see/meet my master”

Solid episode. At least now there's an explanation for the whole time wrap and past/future thingy. Eating planet's time? Hm, what's it all for? It's a relief Weisz joining them will not create any time paradoxes. Kinda reminds me of the time concept in Mortal Kombat 11. Except who's to say if the present self dies, the past self will die too.

I don't have a tentacle fetish, but can't say no to Rebecca fanservice.

Elsie looks like, well, Erza (they're even voiced by the same person). There's the eye for both of 'em too. I'm still interested in her though and what role she'll be playing

I am now officially caught up with the English Dub of Edens Zero.

From what I've seen and heard on the Internet prior to the series coming out I thought this would be a continuation of Fairy Tail, but I was sorely mistaken.

This is an entirely separate series from Fairy Tail. If I'm correct this is inspired from a manga made by the same individual who made Fairy Tail. With that in mind I'll give my brief review of the series so far.

Firstly, the concept of planetary travel gives me some DB vibes, however the plot couldn't be any further from it. Shiki, who I'm assuming is the protagonist of the story as he is one of the first characters to appear in the story, has lived his entire life in Granwell. This is a planet that is inhabited by machines. Shiki is the only human that lives on this planet. Once Rebecca arrives with a ship the robots pretend to revolt against the humans in order to force Shiki to leave Granwell and explore the universe. From that point Shiki becomes an adventurer and suggests to Rebecca and Happy to go visit Mother since that would be a great video idea.

On their journey Rebecca realizes that they need a better ship. They go to Norma to visit the Professor who initially saved their lives. Unfortunately 50 years have been eaten away from their planet as a result of the Chronophages. Now there is a version of Professor Wise Steiner who is 50 years younger who seems to be a thief and conman.

I'm really enjoying the series and all that it has to offer. I especially like the references of Fairy Tail within the series, such as Levy, Jet, and Droy being in the guild building in Blue Garden, Elsie Crimson looking and sounding like Erza Scarlet, and Natsu and Lucy making a cameo in the restaurant in Episode 3. This has a lot of potential to be an amazing series on the same level as Fairy Tail and FMAB.
