Oh boy, Yaguchi showed up at Sayu's part time job. Dude is actually creepy and seems to have a past and strange attachment towards Sayu. He didn't even hold back trying to get physical with her. I dislike him quite a bit already.

It's a damn good thing Yoshida came or that could've been much worse.

A lot of drama this episode with Yaguchi entering the show and not the pleasant kind. It's a damn good thing Yoshida is by her side.

You cannot change the past, Whatever you do in the past. Even so, do you want to return to the past?

After An amazing episode with Gotou about her dilemma and fear, Sayu begins to think about her future. His attitude slowly starts to get positive, but instead she meets ugly bastard who know about the past that she wants to forget. Yaguchi Kyoya, he was ugly bastard-kun who once allowed Sayu to stay at house. Sayu refused Yaguchi's invitation, but Yaguchi instead threatened to expose her past and force Sayu.

Somehow Sayu refused the call "Miyuki-chwan" did it have something to do with the past ? I don't know, but Sayu make clear was that Sayu confirmed to Yaguchi that she was Ogiwara Sayu not Miyuki-chwam. The two of them argued over Miyuki's past, they decided to go to the room to talk about something. "Sekkusu shi tenai no?" I don't know what happened to ugly bastard, Whatever it is, Sayu didn't hate sex. For some reason, Sayu met Yoshida, now Sayu doesn't have sex anymore. Even Sayu is now protecting herself.

When Yaguchi want to rape Sayu, from the door came Yoshida, Somehow Yoshida was able to arrive on time, is something .... It's good because I hate seeing netorare with Yaguchi, and I hate Yaguchi. Yoshida asked Yaguchi "what are you doing?" I laughed with Yaguchi, he answer "I'm having / do sex" damn...

As usual, Yoshida returned to Sayu. it's just that the moment when Asami talked to Sayu on the roof made me relieved, even though girl's friendship was so op, I wish Yuri route, but....

Truly disgusting episode just like the rest of the anime probably why people enjoy it actually, I start to wonder how the author thought about all this, its really disturbing.
The scene with Yaguchi and Sayu is the worst thing, makes me want to puke.
Yoshida has been saving the anime, for once.

No, I'm sure there is a drama genre in this series, are Sayu and Yaguchi's scenes too disgusting? If the story is only peaceful, Yoshida x Sayu then it won't be fun, with the presence of ugly bastard I hope the story will come back fresh and interesting.

FINALLY, THE SCUMBAG HAS ARRIVED, and both manga and LN fans (like myself) are screaming foul with Kyouya Yaguchi (which is the darkest that HigeHiro has ever gone, and is what makes the source material SOOOO good).

Kyouya has finally arrived onto the scene, the one that destroyed Sayu's life from the inside out and left her in distraught of terror. Even bringing him to Yoshida's house and forcing himself on her, Yoshida has no reason not to be flamed with disputing anger against this disgusting evil of a guy whom not only took her virginity, but terrorizing her with his never-ceasing playboy attitude and abuse.

Yoshida and Yuuki being parent figures both at home and in the workplace, this is why Sayu needs to be protected at all costs regardless. It's great and wholesome that Sayu is finally able to release all that pent-up frustration towards both Yoshida and Yuuki (heck, she's a rich girl) who does the comforting job and sharing about their own lives.

WHAT A POWERFUL EPISODE this is, and the long-awaited wait is worth every trouble. Sayu, you can finally think about your future together with Yoshida, totally a parent-child figure.

Well the ass hole who thinks he is good in bed has some common sense after all tho it's questionable wether he won't try something in the future.
Personally i hope we won't see much of him again.

Anyway the main coming just in time was nice still a bit predictable but at least he solved the situation.
For now we have to wonder how things will go from here on out.
A lot can still happen.

Kyouya Yaguchi, you're the most disgusting person I've ever seen in a show. I despise you more than anyone in this thread. The creepiness from the dude was overflowing. He didn't even flinch getting physical with Sayu. What a scumbag.

On the other hand, I'm glad that Yoshida arrived at the right time otherwise once again, everything would've been lost and Sayu would've gone back to what she was actually so scared of. Yuki is a great friend to Sayu. I'm happy that Sayu can open up to her.

Thank you Yoshida for saving Sayu. Lots of drama and lots of emotions in this episode.

Man, I'm really glad that Yoshida came in and threw that bum out. But bruh... this Yaguchi dude is really pissing me off, he's instantly entered my list of characters that I hate. All of his words and actions in this episode have been really creepy and annoying. Definitely a certified menace to society.

Yoshida should have punched Yaguchi atleast once but oh well not doing so didn't escalate the situation to something worse so fine ig. Thou Asami slapping him made up for it, she's definitely the mvp of this episode. The part after with Asami and Sayu was sweet. Sayu x Yoshida part was nice too.

Fuck Kyouya, all my homies hate Kyouya. When he was in the end of the last episode I knew he gave off rapey vibes and I was concerned for Sayu. Of course this episode my fears were confirmed. It’s an anime/LN, but shit like this happens all the time in Japan with girls afraid to speak up due to social stigmas and fear of workplace repercussions. Luckily, Yoshida arrived right on time to stop the situation.

Wasn’t really a fan of all the giggling and how they just laughed an attempted rape off at work the next day tbh, but it is what it is. Really heartwarming chat between Asumi and Sayu. She can finally start focusing on the future and leave the past behind. Beautiful second half of the episode.

I really really really hate Yaguchi. He is the worst, even the word 'worst' can't describe him. Yaguchi really pissed me off when I was reading the light novel, but the animated Yaguchi is on another level.
Yoshidaman, the hero, save Sayu. I really want him to punch straight into Yaguchi's face.
Asami is really a great friend.

I think there's some problem about this episode. I'm gonna make a list.

Feel free to correct me. I'm not that kind of person that will be angry because someone corrects them;

1. First of all, How Yoshida-san knew about the creepy guy and Sayu was in the house? In this episode, it was not answered. (I really hopes in the next episodes we get the answer)
2. The way Yoshida handled the creepy guy when he caught him; I don't really think that Yoshida-san really is adult inside. If it's some adult guy found out about it, I'm pretty sure they will beaten the guy especially when he confessed that he did asked about the sex and seeing Sayu-chan not comfortable with it when he saw them. It's just so disappointing seeing Yoshida-san having a mental breakdown talking with the younger guy.
3. Why the heck Sayu-chan laughed when she talked with that creepy guy? I'm pretty sure she has a trauma about it. How can you laughed about it? Saying "You really such a weird guy" WHY!? HOW!?

Asami was the real star of this episode, spitting straight facts, Yoshida-man came in like a superhero but for all the faults Yaguchi has you can still say he has tact since he didn't tell anyone about Sayu's past or use it against her again and her picked apart Yoshida's perspective quite well

She more hinted at it rather than revealing it tho no? She said she stayed at other guy's houses but didn't say what she did in order to stay their. There's also the fact that the manager doesn't know which could possibly cost Sayu a decent worklife

Yaguchi is honestly just firey trash. His creepy and forced actions towards Sayu were truly disgusting; he deserves to be burned. Yoshida saves Sayu! I'm actually surprised Yoshida didn't beat his ass. Well, at least Asami slapped him pretty well. The latter half of the episode was actually really quite cute.

Ok I'll be honest here i hated it when they showed Yaguchi at the first minutes of the episode but from the beginning till the end im crying like realy crying i know its hard for Sayu to move on and to forgive like what Asami said "youre hurting someone who's already suffering" and when the scene where they were looking at the stars and the last scene it makes me cry. Im happy that Sayu wont get end up with the mc of course and im happy that sayu is already having a future. Thankyou im looking forward for the next episode "love affair" episode 6 made me burst into tears like 4 times. Still yaguchi is a bad person but atleast he keeps his word i want a character development

I didn't expect Yaguchi to be a man of his word, even after being the way he is. In the end, we got some really cute scenes with Sayu. I'm really glad that this episode did not involve Mishima or Airi, I found the both of them quite annoying.

Great episode, made me tear up for the first time with this anime, twice at that.

Yoshida is really what makes you wanna have some little faith in humanity left. If Sayu has any chance in life it is him guiding her to it. He is the rock that she needs to be able to push forward, the same goes for her coworker Yuuki who very perceptive and empathetic and this episode really made me like her.

If Yoshida is something to have faith in humanity over than Yuguchi is the total opposite. Trash human being, the embodiment of if I can exploit I will exploit; he is the type of person that acts as a good/normal person only if things he does are lawful or the law is blind at the moment; fuck that guy. He deserved more than a slap.

I hope they find some way for Sayu to start attending school as soon as possible; she needs it.

‘It may be admitted that if it were possible for us to have so deep an insight into a human's way of thinking, as it shows itself both through inner and outer actions, that every, even the least incentive to these actions and all external occasions which affect them, were so known to us, then his future conduct could be predicted as certainly as the appearance of a solar or a lunar eclipse.’ Critique of Practical Reason, p. 230 of the Rosenkranz.

The guy literally tried to rape her, and the next day he's like "aw sowwy I shouldn't have" and she laughs and the show brushes it off like hey, he's not so bad he apologized! I don't mind that Yaguchi is trash in this kinda drama show, but everybody kinda just let him off the hook way too easily...? And then he's saying Yoshida is "making her into a fine woman" and she's happy about it like ewww? Sayu is not a character she's just a victim waiting to be saved. At least she gets to have interactions with Asami which are a little bit more humanizing.

And who is agreeing with what is happening in these anime exactly? I think the show makes it perfectly clear that this is about seeing the wrong in the world or does every author that writes about murders a murderer too?

That's where you're both right and wrong.

Right in the sense that pedophilia will reek around both shows, but largely wrong because while KoiKimo will always simultaneously give off those vibes, this show on the other hand dismisses that vibe with the overt characterized drama that is the selling point of the source material.

I can agree that authors sometimes have pedo thoughts to pen their stories, but if you think that this is the ONLY recurring theme then I don't know what to say, a shallow mind's what you got with little understanding.

3. Why the heck Sayu-chan laughed when she talked with that creepy guy? I'm pretty sure she has a trauma about it. How can you laughed about it? Saying "You really such a weird guy" WHY!? HOW!?

1) in LN & previous ep Asami had warned Yoshida about him (in the LN she described him as a Manwhore). Sayu texted Yoshida saying the shift manager was going round (He knew it was the dodgy guy) and he didn't like the wording, he tried texting her back and got no reply so rushed out of work to see if she was OK - all this was skipped in the adaptation.

2) Yoshida crying was due to him realising how much abuse Sayu had suffered before he rescued her and that none of the other "Adults" had bothered to help her. He couldn't beat up the scumbag as that could get the police involved.

3) That scene wasn't like that in the LN - she just calls him weird and leaves the office, Yaguchi basically admits he got carried away and said he'd never rape anyone, only having consensual sex and it'd be bad for his reputation if he'd continued.

They chopped out Asami getting a bike from home and Sayu sitting on the back with her arms around Asami telling he what had happened since she ran away as they cycled to the spot with the stars.

Ep.6 adapted : LN Volume 2 - chapters 12 - 16 (P74 - 101) - just leaving two short epilogues uncovered.

So Ep.7 starts : LN Volume 3 - at this rate they'll finish the English translated volumes by Ep.10 - I can't wait for Ao Kanda and Issa to turn up..

This episode was my favorite so far....I feel so bad for Sayu but seeing that she has two people protecting and supporting her made me so happy I started crying!! Not to get into any ~age discourse~ but the more this goes on the more I hope that her and yoshida don't end up together. I love the platonic big brother protective relationship too much!! I love the little family they've got going on. I demand more supportive people for sayu!!!

damn...ngl i both hate and love this episode. the thing with yaguchi made me so frustrated and i nearly took it out on my laptop... the whole time, i wanted yoshida to beat him up for me bcs sadly i can't do that from here. He didn't but at least he got a slap from asami who become my new favorite character now. i'm glad that mf didn't tell anyone but i don't give a fck abt his "redemption" i still hate him so much. the last part with asami and sayu was the best thing abt this episode though. ngl had me feeling emotional and i had a big smile on my face. also again where can i get a yoshida? i need to find myself a yoshida.

best episode so far

This episode, this episode tells me why I didn’t enjoy the original manga, people might say it’s genius, I just think wtf was going on into the author mind. Kyouya Yaguchi Is the worse character I’ve ever seen in anime, he’s a pedophile and a creep, that all he is to me. The scenes with Kyouya Yaguchu and Sayu was hard to watch. Now to give credit, this episode is better then the original manga, (same with this whole anime) and I actually kinda felt emotional while watching it (Especially at the end) and I actually felt what Yoshida was feeling, I would protect Sayu too if those kind of stuff happened to her. I might change my score for this anime a 6/10 instead of a 5/10 because it is actually better then the manga, but we’ll see. I have no idea what gonna happen in the future episodes, since the manga didn’t adapt everything from the original light novel, so I’m kinda interested. Overall, This episode was pretty decent.

I agree that her reaction was a bit too silly for just an apology after what happened. The other interactions were fine though.

Even taking into account that the writing for this series wasn't anything to write home about, I'm still a bit disappointed about Yaguchi's SAO rapist tier portrayal in the first half. I wanted to like his character, but that was just low and contrived. The day after he seemed like a somewhat "ok" guy.
