----------------------------------------
The gladiator battle between Emden vs. Cestvs, nothing excites Lady Sabina more than having a worthy right-hand slave alongside her, much less to the chagrin of the citizens of Pompeii jeering and booing at every corner.

Trading blows here and there between the two fighters, and Emden looks mostly likely to win this duel (which he did through his underhanded means). Emden's "decapitator" move that looked like it ended the fight, and Cestvs's never-giving-up spirit (despite being hit at vital areas)...this battle isn't an easy one for any one side to concede to.

The desperation for royalty...

Emden is hot! That woman has no idea she has a gem in front of her eyes all along.

Cestvs's teacher, Zafar, is hot too, but I don't think his knees can handle me.

the CGI looked awful, however it had the added benefit of making the fights feel fluid and interesting.
I love the fight choreography and theory. Cestvs is very much an intellectual fighting anime and I can respect that. In fact, the only real flaw of this series is the animation. The voice acting is fine, the plot is really good, and the world is fascinating. If the producers just had a little more faith in the IP then maybe this could have been a masterpiece.
As it is I can still enjoy it for what it has

Let's see if Cestvs can stage a comeback and somehow win this thing.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

I could tolerate the bad quality of the cgi but with how this fight is going and will probably go in the next episode I'd rather drop the serie than continue watching.

The CGI as ever looked iffy at best, the pacing is so weird throughout the entire show, and I'm still here watching every Wednesday. There's something about the show that's made it a no-drop for me.

I wasn't expecting 1.5 episodes for one fight when it sounds like so much story was skipped, I think this could have been wrapped up in one episode. That being said, I am looking forward to next weeks episode (please don't ask me to explain why, I don't think I can).

Still don't understand why this show has a higher rating the Fairy Ranmaru though.

I don't like Sabina as a character. But the fight was decent for sure. CGI was meh but I appreciate a good fight. Nothing much happened, it was a one-sided fight for the most part but Cestvs is determined. Emden is super strong. Looking for the next one.

bro idk what i'm watching lmao it somehow makes me watch it but it's all very generic and the way they try to handle this comes off as rather funny because of the severity of underachievement
no remorse holds no recourse
now i'm leaving slowly
oh won't you hold me?

Pretty fun fight so far with the kind of underdog story. He'll prob win next week, not that I mind, but I am interested to see where the story will go next.

The 3d was very well used in the fights, really the loss of memory of Cestvs was cool, I hope it doesn't affect the fights.

Cestus' brain must be totally destroyed at this point, even if he survives I don't think this kind of injury can be healed easily

Ignoring the cgi, quite the good fight with all the movement and stuff. Poor Cestvs though being forced to fight a literal veteran and already being in a state of confusion with some injuries
