Good to see Vivy's popularity going up again.

Looks like she got assigned to another mission. She just have no time for any sort of break. At least this one doesn't seem to involve as much as risk compared to the previous one. It's still kinda amazing how much their world depends on AI and its various technology.

Vivy is a hero their world deserves as she doesn't even hesitate at all to save others.

I know we're gonna talk the episode, as seeing Human-ai relationships, along with that AI island was super interesting but.

Can we just mention how Vivy rocked those outfits in today's ep? She's looked incredible in every one!

Aww poor M. Those little AIs were so cute and then when Vivy saw M's dream of looking after children it was just... ah my heart!

Hmm a romantic relationship between a android and a human huh. Singing the opening theme on stage as part of the opening sure was creative. 5 years though Thats quite the time skip since their last encounter. That was quite the dramatic rescue of the doc though but nothing that war machine Diva couldn't handle. In those 5 years its nice to see the professor become braver. Hitting Metal float though would cause some serious issues this time though. The interior workings of Metal float though was damm impressive. An unmanned facility that works 24/7 will be a boon for humanity if not for the quest. Erasing the kind of fun memory that M and his fellows would have had with humans if they continued their journey was pretty sad though. The float going on to complete war footing though was quite the surprise. Overall an interesting ep that while less action packed than the previous ep compensated by featuring more emotional moments and ethical questions as well. Curious at how this will progress though.

Looks like they really intend to cover the entire 100 years over this anime, wonder how Vivy will change the outcome. Worried that all her efforts will be pointless until some final sacrifice, hope they don't do that but instead show how all her actions through the 100 years changed the future.

Time has certainly progressed since then with Vivy's increasing popularity of her original mission to sing her heart out and bring smiles to people.

Another mission, and a timeline skip forward of the AI world slowly coming to fruition, and an offshore island full of AIs from the Hotel Sunrise incident, plus the rogue group Toak still in operation and in pursuit of a former member who has dips on confidential info. Certainly a future for both human and AI to be married to, though Matsumoto's record of history proves otherwise.

The AI island Metal Float is quite advanced even at full autonomy, and for the sake of Matsumoto's mission, both digital and analog AI are treated the same effect if they were to be shut down. I feel sad for the analog AI having their mission to serve humans, as if Metal Float is meant to be a potential Hotel Sunrise 2.0.

Crisis averted for a suicidal AI mission to eradicate Toak's forces, and the man whom Vivy saved...is he the SAME guy whom she saved in the previous timeloop?

Still a very thrilling ride.

Looks like Vivy's audience is growing in the last five years. Matsumoto is also back after five years now in his original form but man, he's still so talkative as ever. We also got to see the first Human-AI couple. This time, the mission is to shut down an island or so as to say which is fully operated by only AI and without any humans which is said to be 20 years ahead of its time. That was the cutest surprise I saw from the AI's side. I honestly felt bad for M.
The war has already been started. Looks like we'll have to wait for the next episode.

Slower paced set up episode after the action packed conclusion to the sunrise arc last week. This week we’re back with a new target and mission. The introduction of AI and human romantic relationships is really interesting. The way diva stared at them as she headed off to the island, and thought about the coincidence with every turning point involving a “sister” leads me to believe Saeki and Grace will have an important role to play later on.

I can’t help but feel Matsumoto is hiding something too. Overall really good set up episode this next arc, crazy to think we’re halfway done with the show already :(

Glad to see episode 4 top all the charts for the past week tho. Vivy really deserves it.

What did Matsumoto see in his prediction of the future? What was the goal of TOAK? Wasn't it destroying the factory? Why did Matsumoto want to destroy it but didn't cooperate with TOAK despite that - He could just let them have the red liquid, couldn't he? What was that factory for? (Supplying parts to the AIs? What's wrong with that?) Why, after "destroying" it with the red liquid, all the robots started attacking TOAK? Why did the robots look so old when they were supposed to be newer than Vivy? How come the proffesor knew so much about everything?

I feel like you didn't actually pay attention to the episode because most of these questions were answered. TOAK wanted to destroy the factory, yes, but Matsumoto clearly stated that he and Vivy needed to keep TOAK from attacking to prevent a conflict between Humans and AI. This is to slow or prevent further such situations from possibly occurring.

The red liquid, if my assumptions are correct, was actually designed to cause the AI to go berserk. It shut everything down but then booted everything up again OR the Mother Computer is already deviant so after the red liquid entered the system the Mother Computer somehow counteracted it. I'm assuming the first one but I'm possibly wrong. We'll have to wait for it to be explained.

The AIs in the facility were designed the way they were because of their function. Vivy literally asked Matsumoto why the AI were so "analog" when they were so new. Matsumoto told her that since they have simple tasks they have simple designs.

Some of your questions are odd because like... this is only the first part of this story. Of course they haven't answered everything yet and we have to wait for the next part.

Never felt so sad for a robot in an anime 😢 RIP M 💔. I have this feeling that in the next episode something sad is about to happen between the couple. And Mat in today's episode is acting a bit sus towards the human or is just me. Anyway, today's the episode was great. Can't wait for next week's episode.

yeah, I have the feeling that, at this rate, Vivy's interventions will accelerate the war between humans and AIs, instead of avoiding it. in this case, the story wouldn't cover 100 years, but perhaps much less than that

Vivy and Matsumoto failed their mission this time and I wonder if it's due to interference from some AI. There might be other time traveler too since the development of AIs has been too fast and also Sisters are involved in every case. I mean sure it maybe due to Vivy's intervening into things but there's always the possibility of another time traveler.

Matsumoto saying "Hey a cube that can't fly is just a cube." cracked me good.

With each episode I'm becoming more sympathetic to the AIs and yet I can still see how dangerous they can be. Like this episode showed us the AIs good nature and then boom they went nuts in an instant.

Great episode again and the only thing I didn't like was Vivy saving that Toak guy. He has way too much plot armor. Like wth all those copters and ships crashed and he's the only one who survives.

We jump forward a handful of years again to both a billionaire AI scientist who married an AI. Admittedly, they don't make a huge deal out of the dude boffing a robot, but by the same token, popular culture was making fun of James Franco in a committed relationship with a body pillow over ten years ago. If we found out tomorrow that Elon Musk had married a real doll, that would probably be hailed as the most human thing he's done in years.

Anyway, the actual focus is an entire island of nothing but bots with child-level intelligence. So… essentially a slave island of children if we're saying all these things are sentient. Predictably, the anti-AI toons attack, and because only even numbered episodes can't suck, they don't attack until 20 minutes into the episode. And then Vivy turns all the slave robot children babysitters into kamikaze bombs. You really want the omnic crisis? This is how you get the omnic crisis. And wouldn't you know it, but her old flame was part of the attack.

Matsumoto continues to steal the show. The comedy that he brings is essential for lightening the tone and adding some energy when needed.

I don’t know why people hating AIs is such a bad thing for their goal of stopping AIs from killing everyone. It seems like the public not trusting AIs is the best way of stopping AIs from developing and that from occuring.

Nothing really with the music this episode, since they only reused the songs.
I have to say some plotpoins seems to be kind of convenient as it right now, but I am ok with that as long as it makes sence.

So far, 20 years have passed, right? 15 years between ep 2 and 3, and 5 years between ep 4 and 5. I think that at this rate, they will really reach 100 years by the end.

Yeah that's most likely to happen, I feel like Vivy could not change the outcome at all, like it's all leads to one point, the point of no return.
I only hope they won't go for the standard plot twist, like: "Oh, no! Matsumoto have been the bad guy all alone... No one could have seen that coming."

Another fun little episode for me in general. Some moments in Vivy really do scream Hollywood with the whole car scene and having to pull out the shades too as chaos ensued there. It's a show while having drama and serious content, also knows how to just have fun with the crazy ride as well beyond the storytelling.
