| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The animation quality is kinda shitty but Kanata has a lot of determination and energy in her. Plus, she seems friendly based on first impressions. I'm guessing she'll have to carry this show in a world of competitive sports. First episode shows that the competitors are very bold in their goals to prove themselves. The show will probably pick up pacing and flow soon after the character intros from this episode. |

| Well...glad to know that this is an off-shoot of the former 1997 TV series, and an original at that. But to call it a remake/reboot is just stretching the limits IMO. But another sports show (and how many this season I can't count), man...Japan really wants animation companies to spread the word that the Tokyo Olympics are gonna be held soon. And in this show, it's inter-galactic Olympics to choose the Cosmos beauty Queen...in a farce bid. Kanata is just too OP for women's athletics lols. Seven's animation, I don't need to tell you that it looks cheap through and through. Even the character designs are reminiscent of the studio's works on hentai shows, especially if there'a any potential fanservice. I literally got bored with this one real fast, but will stick around for the 3-episode rule. |

| It's basically the same as the previous one, they just changed the characters... even though Akari is still kinda here but with a different xD I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Kanata's mother was a cosmo beauty before as well. Also you have that Chris-like religious girl from the moon... so I guess she should just play the same role as before. I don't really understand why they made another version of this but well why not, I just hope that they'll show more of the weird sports challenges and not cut most of them like in the OG, I hope we'll see the hardcore bike race again but I see no Chinese girl so far unfortunately xD |

| Basically, this is the doped space Olympic. The animation is kinda..... meh.. It looks like Kanata will open her own all-girl harem in the University Satellite. The best things in this anime are the OP that sung by Suwawa and solid seiyuu like Kitou Akari, Hayami Saori. |

| Thanks to this show I realized Seven does regular and Ero anime, now it makes sense why their regular shows reminded me so much of some Ero anime. I could have dropped it since I'm not that into sport shows but I liked the voice cast so far. |
| Wow a competition to find out the cosmo beauty, Queen of the Solar system. Now this is the over the top type of stuff that I love. The girls are cute, specially Kanata. She's one of those beauties who's really strong too and I like her. I like the concept of the show too and also the scifi elements of it. OP song was okay. Decent premise, liked it. Looking forward to more. |

| Kinda interesting, but the yuri undertones and the questionable shots are really annoying. I guess I have to life with them. Shelleys voice really hurts my head. I dont mind the general animation. |

| Well this was typical Seven flair, didn't have high hopes for it though. The "fanservice" scenes were shitty as well. Couldn't AIC RIGHTS and the production committee have contracted another studio, other then Seven, to handle animation production? I highly recommend to watch the original instead, either the OVA or TV series, instead of ReSTART. |

| Battle Athletes Victory ReSTART! fail to meet expectation from 1997's Victory. You'd figure that this show would get special treatment with the Olympics and all but the quality in animation is very poor. So, what do we known from episode one? ReSTART, Kanata is a potato loving, genki girl from the country whos motivation to become a Cosmic Beauty comes from a mysterious girl who gave her wristbands. Episode one is basically just Kanata leaving the home to attend University Satellite. Victory (1997) episode one shows us how Akari is of a weak nature and ditsy girl who is struggling with her mid-terms in Antarctica to win the chance to be accepted into University Satellite and her mother is a previous Cosmo Beauty. Heck, even the music is lacking by comparison. ReSTART! doesn't have anything that can even compare to Akari's theme. Both shows are original stories in their own and set two different tones in their first episode. Victory is still my favorite as it shows Akari struggles to keep her promise to her mother to become a Cosmo Beauty. All we really get from ReSTART is a mysterious girl tell Kanata to become Cosmo Beauty with little reason as to why. I can relate more with Akari than with Kanata so far. Akari had to win her acceptance to university while Kanata just story just skips all that. |

| What is even the point of having it be a battle between representatives of different planets if everyone is just gonna be a bog standard human girl? If they're supposed to have colonized the galaxy, wouldn't they at least have unique cultures? Oh, I'm sorry, one has a gem in their head and one had slightly darker skin. Such cultural differences. Very worldbuilding. T_T Also, what are is this supposed to be for? It's written like a children's show but then there's random Male Gaze shots of poorly drawn butts. This show gives me vibes of AKB0048 and Angelic Layer while not being as well written as either of them. The premise is interesting, but everything else is completely bland. |

| One of the weirdest first episode for a sport anime I've ever seen. The pacing is all over the place and the mc's motivation and strength is not convincing enough for me to believe it. I remember the old serie has much better pacing/ story than this that I'm rooting for the mc more. This new Kanato is so unlikable/ boring/ generic. |
