THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, episode 1 is out by GONZO. Nice animation at times, but not great. CG is not that amazing too. I think the story was a little stupid too (they didn't tell him not to accept things from strangers?). I don't know how GONZO are going to keep up with this, and I really hope the next episodes would be better, because it seems like another typical GONZO show. |

LOL GONZO. the design for the biomechanoid thing looks like an Eva. Besides that it was just boring. I hope next episode is better. |

The whole motorcycle riding stuff doesn't click with me. The demoniac fusing with a motorcycle reminds me of that futuristic PS2 racing game, wish I can remember the name. The demoniac look pretty sweet although I also don't like the term, demoniac. Oh yeah! I remember the name of the game now, it's Kinetica. Yeah, Kinetica.. I also don't like Gerd. Overall, I think it was a nice first episode. |

eh? I think it was pretty good. I'm not going to criticize, since the story's still developing, so we'll see. Animation's really good, but the CG's umm no, its pretty bad. Anyway, I think it was an awesome episode. I look forward for more. |

It's horrible. Why do people always say this about everything? "looks really good" etc. when it looks like total shit. Do you have no standards whatsoever? Sorry it's just that when people praise something like this(especially the worst aspect) it allows studios like LOL GONZO to continue making crap. Yea I feel like I'm watching a kids show(and yes I realize most anime is aimed at kids, but I mean this feels like its aimed at 5 year olds) where a kid would say "COOL BIKES!" and "COOL CARS!" and crap. I get the same feeling when there are too many damn dragons in an anime(lol dragonauts, aliens look like dragons.) The only thing I liked about this was the Pink haired girl because she was hot. Thats not good. |

Yeah, the girl was hot. Plus the mysterious dude dressed in black was pretty cool too. If anything, I'll probably watch this just for her. |

I've seen worse. With youtube I can't curse on the CG so much. This actually picked my interest more than Druaga did, and that's saying something, because I was all hyped towards the other one. This method GONZO is using isn't so bad, though I'd like more HQ sources. Glad they decided to translate the ending song this time. Will keep watching for the time being. |

So much terrible, terrible CG...it's really mind-boggling. I honestly can't beleive that Druaga is the better of Gonzo's two shows. I'll keep up with this for at least one more episode, but it looks like it might be a total waste of time. It's really too bad the shows Gonzo is showcasing with their subtitles are so terrible. I think this might get a negative response solely for that reason, while the subs themselves are actually decent. |

On another note i'm not into all this 'LOLZ GONZO' crap, because like any studio they have their hits and misses. This sounded so much like Dragonaut though, that i wasn't expecting much. |

I disagree with Crenshinibon though, since Druaga IMO is a very good show, at least so far, and has a lot more potential then Blassreiter, if only cause of the staff and the FMP author lending a hand. If you hate Gonzo, move the hell along and go watch something else. I watched the first episode and it has a lot of promise. It's pretty cheesy, but that's why I enjoyed it. Ignoring the ugly CGI it was interesting and I liked the demoniacs. The fights were pretty good as well. I'll keep watching. |

I actually support AnimusNathan. I don't like GONZO, but I'm always judging things from an objective point of view, and this episode really wasn't good at all. And yes, most of their series are not good, although some of them are ok. |

I mean, most anime is garbage in general No, most of anime is average, that's why there's a word "average", most of anime will inevitably fall into what is average for anime (I'm not sure if I'm making much sense here, but I hope you understand what I meant). It more or less goes: very bad - bad - average - good - very good and NOT: very bad - very good Don't judge things in black and white, it's not healthy. @ topic: Usually I'm apathetic towards CG and GONZO made one of my most favourite series ever (Full Metal Panic, I'm a sucker for military and romance), but this... after few minutes I just gave up, I couldn't stand animation that makes it feel like I'm watching a cut scene from a video game. |

Iriya said: Okay, well I'm not about to go hating a show just because its first episode wasn't too hot. I'd have missed out on tons of shows then if that were the case. I agree. I think you guys are all overreacting a bit. This was only the first episode. How much do you expect from the first episode? Give it a chance. I thought it was pretty good, and the only thing I really can complain about is the CG, but really is just because I do not like CG at all, no matter who's producing it (whether it's Gonzo or not, I don't really like it.) But I'm not gonna drop a series just solely for that. Also, I would like to see Joseph get into the picture more, since he's supposed to be the main character, but I believe that'll happen soon with the coming episodes, so that I won't complain about. I think it was a good start and introduction for the show. Nothing spectacular, but by no means bad. |

First episode was decent, the CGI didn't bother me too much (If you think that stuff is bad you should have another look at Dragonaut) as I was watching it from youtube(Bad quality ftl) , but the animation seemed fine, some parts were corny as hell but I'll have to wait to see how the rest turns out as it has promise. Never been a fan of CGI in anime it just always seems out of place but that doesn't hold me back from enjoying an anime, it just depends if the rest of the show makes up for it and that the CGI doesn't get in the way. This discussion on the other hand.. kind of a pain to read with the constant trolling. Seriously, we get it. You don't like Gonzo, you think they are crap, you think their shows are crap. That's fine but don't put other members down for likeing it. |

I don't quite agree with those who say that "it's only the first episode" : if a show has anything to do well, it's the first episode. It's the very first contact with the viewer, it's the first impression, and it counts THAT much. I'm with those who hate Gonzo. Simply because they screwed too many potentially good shows (sometimes, I ask myself : "what would Speed Grapher look like if it was done by Madhouse ?"... and I drool). This first episode was nothing good, nothing bad, it was just your average Gonzo first episode. I'm not particularily hyped with it, though I don't have many reasons to condemn it. I still predict the "LOL GONZO" for this one, referring to the typical Gonzo animes that start quite good and become more and more boring, uninteresting, uninspired, dull and flat after 5-6 episodes. 95% of Gonzo animes I watched followed this same pattern (yes, including NHK ni Youkoso!). I don't really like the CG (it feels way too "unnatural", I like to have the sensation that these 24 drawings my eyes are analyzing per second were hand-drawn with love and passion) and the story seems kind of kitsch. I think I'll stick with it until the "LOL GONZO" factor starts appearing. If it does, I'll lol at those who followed it to the end just as I lol'd to those who followed Dragonaut until the end. If it doesn't, it would have been a good show to follow and I'm not against it. Either way, I'll be enjoying myself. :D |

Definitely disappointing, though I didn't expect much from it to begin with. Personal, one Gonzo is enough for me in a season. The CG effects were lame and seemed very unnatural. The story itself was just boring and left me feeling somewhat confused. I can already guess that I'll probably just drop this series by the end of the next episode, which I will watch just to see if there's a small chance it gets better. The enemy thing looks reasonably cool. |

The only thing that interests me about this show is the sci-fi aspect of it.. I want to see more of the world it takes place in. Everything else was just bearable. As for the animation quality, maybe it sucks because we've all been watching it streamed online? The synopsis says "With stunning visuals, epic battles and a dark, mature storyline, BLASSREITER sets the standard for the next generation of animation." I don't like the CG either. :/ |

Even if it's Youtube or Crunchyroll, I thought the quality was quite good. I can at least tell that the 2D animation is amazing and the CGI is horrible. Just look at the magnificent hand-drawn fire and the generic CG smoke. The difference is obvious. |

I'm not saying its healthy for a childs mind or that they should be watching it at all but the truth is that they watch it. I stand by that this show target audience is children. |
