Riku Sanjo, the author of DnD, intended to continue the series after Vearn, with Velzar as the main villain (is called "Makai Arc", Makai is Underworld) but health condition of Koji Inada, the artist of DnD, was very bad at that time. So Sanjo decided to end the manga with Vearn in Flash of Light Arc! There is a good chance for Makai Arc or a sequel movie in the future! | The old anime stopped because sponsors stopped giving money that's the reason why. the audience was good but TBS channel had to stop it because no sponsor (i know it's a shame) But the manga continued and had big success it was one of the best selling shonen of all the times |

| Next episode is the best place for a new opening since Maam left the party and Flazzard is dead. If they dont do it now it will be strange Maybe they keep the new opening for episode 26 (end of the first fight vs Baran and amnesia for Dai / and begining of new episodes never adapted) |

| That probably comes from the first french translation that was done between 96 and 2001. A lot of old fan translations were made from that french version, which was easier to translate from than japanese one. This first french translation is known to not be very good. In the early series, they weren't even sure if Avan was a man or a woman, often writing the french equivalent of writing "(s)he". It's also known for over romanizing names that were already japanese pronunciation of english words (or english sounding words). For example, 'bloody scryed" became "bloody sukuraido" , "bagi cross" became "bagi kurose" (as you can see, they kept the original spell names), and "Hadlar" became "Hadora". By that, and knowing how japanese don't have the R and L sounds but something somewhere in the middle, Larhalt became Laraluto > Rararuto. The I guess they switched the second R for a F, because that was too much R in the name. Anyway, that's just my personal analysis (except for the fact it comes from the first french translation, that's pretty much certain) |
