this is not a backstory, considering where they will probably finish the first season (I'm guessing it'll be before the Gambler's Den arc starts), this special would directly follow it,as it happens before Gambler's Den. haoliners wants us to survive until they make a second season so they're throwing a special episode at us haha

yeah, yeah, that's what I thought. Sort of. Vaguely. xd
It was a bit too early in the morning/ late at night and I wasn't thinking very well. But uh I mean "more time with our favorite main characters" mostly.
I did read the novel so I do know, sort of.

Is there a chance this is more thoroughly animated than the recent episodes? I mean I love what we've got so far, but Xie Lian's movements seemed more rich and fluid to me in this preview.
Also, they are so. You know. Fan! Tas! Tic! Just. It's still unbelievable, the whole donghua thing.

Upd. A similar question, is SL using his HC voice in this? I rewatched the pv and am now almost convinced this is the case.
