| That was a really fun chapter, with Nariyuki and Mafuyu playing a dating simulator together. Even if their knowledge gained from the game won't be helping their student's romance, at least it'll help develop the romance between them. |

| I laughed so much reading this chapter! Glad to see Yuto and Kurisu-sensei return from chapter 84 (even though it looks like Yuto has been changed in localization to Yuito, lol). They also played that dating sim until at least 2:30 in the morning. Gamers after my own heart. Chapter 178 was a little bland IMO, but I feel encouraged after this one! I can't wait to see where it goes next! Looking forward to next Sunday! |

Haha Well, I think she had reason to believe that based on what happened in the base story. The girls didn't really make it that much of a secret that they were all interested in him. Based on what happened in chapter 130, for example, I could believe that Mafuyu would believe that he dated someone after he left high school. Bringing up the parallel to chapter 144 is interesting. The scene you mentioned was when Mafuyu buried her feelings for Nariyuki in that timeline and the scene in this chapter may very well be the beginning of realizing her romantic feelings for him. I have a few other ideas on where the route may go based on what has happened so far in this route as well as the rest of the story (other endings included) but I think it would be too much speculation, lol. I think, ultimately, the lesson we learned from Fujie is going to be the key to this route: "Well, see, I thought about it all evening, and it started to feel like a hassle, so I just confessed my feelings! So, problem solved!" I always liked the Nariyuki x Mafuyu pair because they always fit together without really trying. Both of them overthink things so I think the confession will occur when something happens to the effect of, "On the count of three, let's just say what we feel at the same time!" In stories love is often complicated, but I think most romances are ordinary without a ton of drama. IMO, this pairing is the most ordinary because they just "get each other." When they come to realize what the audience has seen since all the way back in chapter 16 and reinforced in chapter 22, I think we are in for a beautiful moment! Can't wait to see it! |

I don't really have a great memory... but what I do have is a spreadsheet I made of all the chapters that Mafuyu is in. It makes it pretty easy for me to reference stuff fairly quickly. Example of my format: Vol. 21, Chapter 179 - [X] = The Queen of Thin Ice, Part 2 Mafuyu Ending. Mafuyu and Nariyuki play a dating simulator together. I'll post a copy of the spreadsheet on the forums after the manga finishes so those that just want to read the Mafuyu chapters can easily find them. They are kind of in a weird place at present in that they know a lot about each other, but a few things are still unknown. It's going to be fun to see how it all shakes out. I totally agree that the "All I can do is chase, but never catch up. That's me." statement is going to be explored more. No matter which timeline we end up in, our boy always has an inferiority complex to some degree, and it seems to be in full swing early on. It could be rough for a couple of chapters as they both move through their insecurities, but I think the payoff is going to be worth it! Gah, is it Sunday morning yet? XD |
