Feel like that Mortal Kombat movie came out of nowhere. I don’t think I heard anything about it until last week. Might check it out next time I subscribe to HBO.

Cool! I’ll have to see if I can find the shorts from S2. Amagami has made me want to try some more visual novel/dating sims. Having a Mac is not doing me any favors here though, choices are pretty limited on Steam, especially if you’re using a newer OS version.

They never did say why Kurosawa liked him! Yeah, hopefully would’ve been a little more creative than the he did this one thing for me ten years ago routine. Haha

For whatever reason this had me thinking about Mafuyu and I think it would be hilarious if Tsutsui did a four panel or short chapter (like 10 pages each) manga about the misadventures of her daily life after getting married. (A full on sequel manga be ideal, of course!)

Nier Replicant is an enhanced remaster of the original with additional content and revamped combat. Story, characters, and music were phenomenal in the original and the enhancements really make it shine. Automata is great, too.

Well if we include characters from games, Tifa has been number one since basically forever. I’ll have to think about the others. Picking up on the music from Persona 5, Chrono Trigger, and ‘Kitto Ashita wa’ by Kaoru in the video. I need to pick up Rosario + Vampire again, I started it maybe six months ago, but got distracted apparently.

Higehiro has been surprisingly good. But dang, is it bringing out stupid comments and conclusion jumping about one character. Like complete dumpster fire commenting. I feel like whenever anime handles flawed adult female characters, it really brings out the immature and ugly commenters. Kind of like with Shinako in ’Sing Yesterday for Me’.

Yeah, all the characters are pretty likable. And I have to say it is so nice to just chill and enjoy it, and not worry about your best girl losing! Still got a few more episodes of SS+ left. Glad to see Rihoko get her moment, a nice ending scene. I’m calling Kaoru’s SS+ route the oblivious married couple route. Haha

Those sub-routes would be interesting to see!

Maya Takahashi - it was hilarious when Tachibana ran into Maya in the hotel district and then Umehara unknowingly hit on her. Be fun to see a route for her after a time skip.

Noriko Kurosawa - that be a tough route! It was funny to find out she was actually more interested in stealing Tachibana from Ayatsuji than winning. Haha

Keiko Tanaka - A number of times I was like why don’t her and Umehara get together?? Umehara seemed like a nice guy.

It’s Nier Replicant day! The original Nier is one of my favorite games. So excited to replay it.

‘The Night is Short, Walk on Girl’ does look quirky! But cool, I actually really like musicals. So that sounds good to me.

Hmmm … I’ll have to think about my top 5 best girl list. What’s on my profile is a mix of staples and seasonal favorites. Kaoru is definitely a good candidate for the list though. She kind of reminds me Mimimi (Tomozaki-kun) in a lot of ways.


Alright, Amagami SS first season post!

Thought it was really good! Definitely had favorite routes, but really enjoyable the whole way through. I thought it was hilarious that he was picking up his sister’s friends left and right. Haha! His sister was fun to have around, too. Kaoru and Ayatsuji were my hands down favorites, followed by Rihoko.

Kaoru - My favorite! She’s just a lot of fun, loved her. Where do I find her in real life?!

Ayatsuji - Very strong and close second. The scene where Tachibana was telling her he loved the all the parts of her personality was probably my favorite scene of the whole show.

Rihoko - A little upset she didn’t get a proper shipped ending, but otherwise I really liked her. Hopefully her time comes in SS+.

Sae - Some interesting outfit choices considering her personality. Haha

Nanasaki - Nice girl, sweet route.

Morishima - Love her hijinks and enjoyed her presence in other routes, too.

Risa - A fun surprise!

Miya - Their banter is a lot of fun. When she ran into Risa while spying on her brother I busted up laughing.

Oh well, in manga/anime land, that means you’re out of the running. Haha

I started the ‘Love and Lies’ anime, but didn’t get very far. It was kind of odd. I think opinions of the series are pretty mixed as well.

I know, right?! Haha. After watching the first episode, I’m sitting here like … why are people so excited about this? I’m all for lighthearted playful teasing, but the first episode of Nagatoro is not that. Sounds like Takagi-san is more my speed, maybe I should check that out instead.

Little over half way through Amagami SS. I’ll hold most my comments until I finish, but I loved Kaoru’s route (even watched the last episode twice)! Favorite by far as of now. I looked into the game and was disappointed to find out it’s not available in english. Although sounds like a fan group has been working on translating it for quite some time.

Alright, going to get back to Side Character and find out more about this teacher. Haha. So speaking of ‘We Never Learn’ starting trends, the series ‘Love and Lies’ is going to have two endings. The author said she decided that five years ago though. So ‘We Never Learn’ and now this series. Wonder if we’ll start seeing this more often.

I haven’t seen Takagi-san yet. The teasing romcoms are getting pretty popular. Nagatoro-san is the first one I’m trying and the first episode is rough … she is not nice to him.

$20 for a 2.5 hour VN does seem pretty steep. Still got my fingers crossed for the QQ VN.

Yeah, I’d love to read the Golden Time light novels. I bet Koko’s full monologs and dialog are even more hilarious.

Hmmm … my most rewatched shows are probably School Rumble, Death Note, and Golden Time. Alright, it’s time to watch Amagami SS!!

Speaking of QQ, they announced that the next part is going to be a movie!

I liked love is a cocktail so much I even read some of the manga!
I actually watched tsurezure childsren like 4 times (in entirety), read the entire manga, and am planning to buy it all soon just to add to my collection (takag-san manga comes first tho, thats my #1).

All of those things you are planning to watch (probably watched by now) are onm y list but I had already seen violet evergaden and loved it! watched it, both the side stories, and cannot wait for the movie to become available in the US

hopefully Ill be able to watch more often these days, been cutting out my daily nap and shortening my gaming to watch more anime (miraculously about to finish plastic memories in a record 2.5 days)

I will be sure to check all of those out (never even knew these comments were here, that what I get for using mobile only).

I also absolutely loved Kimi ni todoke and rewatched it right as soon as I finished s1 and 2 the firs time haha

the rest of your recommendtions are also on my list but I havent quite gotten to them yet (I am too slow)

As soon as I finish “My Love Story” I plan to rewatch “Kimi ni Todoke” again it was such a nice story with awesome characters, I actually liked it just as much as I loved Bunny girl senpai and bloom into you, if you haven’t seen those please watch them! I never thought I’d annoy romance stuff until I *luckily* stumbled upon bunny girl senpai in my VRV trial!
