Good thing it started with a short recap because I almost forgot what happened.

This episode had way more twists than I would have thought. I forgot this anime did that type of stuff, so I was up for several surprises. Truly felt like 2 protagonists battling each other with heavy plot armor armed with plot devices.

Anyways, we finally got to see more about Sun-chan this time. He is truly the best boy of this anime. We also see a return of the real antagonist of the story, Bench-kun. F for our boy for being the first victim - painful indeed.

I didn't think I would enjoy this conclusion as much as I would. Even if I was hoping Joro would progress with Pansy or the other heroines like a romance anime would typically, this was still probably one of my favourite conclusions to any harem anime so far. (maybe saekano's movie conclusion can beat that...)

Well, it surprising had a good final end to it.
I was expecting it to follow the manga before I started watching this. Original anime ending is fine by me.

This is really good, better than the manga ending. There's no kiss scene or something like that but i can go with that ending.

Pretty average first two episodes but then a great final half of the last episode or so to conclude the eventful animated series (I highly doubt we're getting season 2 or any form of continuation from here, you see).

Protagonist and the Background characters brought out their true colors (scum nature, if you will) and it was certainly interesting, to say the least, to see the ebbs and flow of the showdown. But in the end, true friendship wins xD.

And then those fire replies to the confessions, lmao. Certainly didn't see that coming but that's the promise that laid out the foundation of the story and I respect Kisaragi for abiding to it. "Tsuki ga kirei, ne?" - Playing it safe as always, I see lol.

I got my fill of Sasanqua moments too so it wasn't a bad conclusion at all.

Quite the focus on Ooga too which was meh initially but ended off on a good note. Didn't buy into his friendship with his "partner" all that too much honestly though considering how average it was set up but, this too, didn't end on a bad note.

"Are you the only one who loves me?" - Damn, was Ooga the main character all along? xD, he even got the "Benched" treatment from Bench-kun, definitely missed that. What was with the censors on Sanshokuin though, as if no one figured that out.

All in all, it gets a solid 6/10 from me.

I enjoyed the ending even though it's anime original ending. Laughed because it was a
ending the whole time. Then at the very end
. I enjoyed Sasanqua getting some screen time since she's my favorite out of the female cast, but I also kind of felt bad for her because she never really had a chance.

Maybe the real girlfriend was the friend he made along the way. Jokes aside, it was a surprisingly refreshing ending. MC took a shot at a harem ending, obviously failed and went to spend time with his best friend. I like the guy for that. Could use more series like that among harem romcoms.

So the one Joro truly loves is... his bro, Sun-chan, of course.

I liked the ending they went for. How Joro prioritize their friendship instead of picking a girl. But yeah the part when Joro tried to have a polygamy route was hilarious.

Decent ova overall. 6/10.

I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!!!!

SUN-CHAN IS THE TRUE LOVE!!!

Holy, the author really spend its time developing Sun-chan's character and I love it so much. The backstory of Sun-chas is so good now his whole character is rationalized.
His past, his struggle, why he did what he did, etc, and why he cares about Joro so much yet jealous about him, all the loose-end has been tied!

This OVA pretty much address all my issues with this series (Sun-chan being the biggest missing piece because he was sideline after ep4), as well as having an exciting matchup.

If this serie had ended with this episode, I'd have give the original 10/10.
Now I'd just give this OVA 10/10.

This anime started off with some great episodes but gradually became less interesting later on and the final arc was pretty irritating. This OVA didn't make me think better of it either. Aside from the Sasanqua moments everything else was okay.

As for the ending it's pretty obvious that Pansy and Joro will end up together at some point but I was hoping to get a closed ending rather than this one.

A pretty fun harem anime overall, really loved Pansy and Sasanqua. Both of them are top tier waifus.

Wow. I didn't expect to see a full 1 hour movie style at this series OVA's. Its really a convoluted challenge ,afterall. And it made them so complex from the very start until the end click. I may gave some short review over this OVA. But for now, i am really satisfied with this OVA. Eventhough, it needed almost one year to bring back the series. I think its worth enough for me to binged it with.

So, yeah, the harems member just launched their confession at all, minus the tsundere girl that keep tsundere until her final moment. I felt bad, but yeah, she did not had a slightly chance to win! Take a note that even their great villain had a confession chance, tho. Lmao, he got what he deserved a total lose, by his own arrogancy. At the end, he lost because of no chance he beat the true MC!

The end conclusion by the epen ending style somehow unsatisfying much to see. But, yeah, its just Jorou style afterall. Its just his teasing. So, its really understandable with his reason at the very end. However, the highlight under the moon light should be a good shot for knowing his true feeling. Pansy for win, that all i want to see. Not in the straight and directly approaching i've ever seen. Eventhough i don't have any good romance at the very end, eg. kissed, or a anything. But, yeah, once again, its just another Jorou's antic. Which was really good to give a balance hit on the comedy vibes there. So, yeah the end should be really fit with him. Lol.

Thats my boy. A true MVP. Its came back. Even it lived in the shadow from their past. How sweet! So, yeah, glad to see that shit back and watched their drama from the dark. I think it had a lot of good laughing on their convoluted challenge. Lmao.

9/10. Once again my scores dedicated from my sole satisfaction. A good example for the harem maniacs that really wanted to see how its work in the school life. A good dedication for my Bench-kun. A good dedication for the evil Jorou's with his great scheme of his challenge. Were that all? Well, i want to say much. But, yeah, its enough rumble for this commentary. So, yeah, thats it from me!

It makes more sense too.

Joro and Sun-chas has been together for 4 yrs and Joro always admired him.
Joro only met Sumireko for awhile , and he knew that he is just attracted by her look, so he's not 100% sure he's "truly" in love with her. Considering his personality (frivolous outside, quite serious inside), he probably doesn't want to hurt Sumireko by easily accepting her genuine love despite he is only in to her look/ body atm.

As for the childhood friend, I don't think Joro ever really in love with her anyway , seeing how their past interaction are like. (She kept hitting him hard and use him a lot, and Joro kept giving that annoyed look)

Honestly, I believe this was a perfectly acceptable ending for the anime. Of course the light novel continues further, but if the anime had to end somewhere, this is the ideal spot.
It was satisfying, so I'm not sure what there is to complain about on that front. All the major plot threads were tied up here.

Joro and Sun-chan were obviously the highlight here. Especially Sun-chan as he needed development the most. Needless to say, this OVA delivered that.
Joro on the other hand... Trying to attain a harem is a very Joro-like thing to do. I love it.

I spoiled the events of this as soon as the original anime finished, so I had a general idea as to what would happen. But I like to think that for someone who didn't spoil themselves, this was a rollercoaster ride through and through.

It was nice to see Hose break down into his own "real" personality as well.

Perhaps what impressed me the most was the emphasis on friendship, notably between Joro and Sun-chan. Who would've thought that such a thing comes from a harem / romcom series.

All in all, this OVA met my expectations and left me satisfied. As much as I'd like the impossible season 2, I don't feel like it's necessary - which is a testament to how well this OVA wrapped things up.

9/10
Oresuki, in it's entirety is probably one of my favorite romcoms.

THINGS TO NOTE:
- Remember that flashback with Sun-chan where he had his own bench scene? Surely you noticed how Pansy's face was hidden. This may seem like a very odd choice, but considering events that happen later in the light novel, it makes perfect sense. I won't spoil it, but there's definitely a reason. Goes to show that the team working on this stayed true to the source material (even if this one event won't be relevant to anime-only viewers).

- Joro's line at the end - "The moon is beautiful tonight" is similar to saying "I love you" in Japanese. You wanted a romantic conclusion? There you go.

another Harem anime with open ending whow what a surprise ... sigh

like i already didn't care about the other girls literally those bunch of hoes

the only one i cared about is Sumireko and i was waiting for a clear conclusion with her but the author says nope fuck that im gonna please everyone here and make everything you watched so far to be pointless .

seriously giving the other girls an equal chance is unfair to Sumireko who was supporting and caring for MC from the get go .

both Sakura and Aoi were hoes they both were easy to mistrust MC and turn against him with the slightest convincing i hated them from that point and never cared about them , they were very easy and i hate easy girls , they'll probably get board from MC if someone cooler showed up lol thats in their nature they both are gold digger it's very obvious , as for the other girls they were better but had a very weak connection so nah .

i've given the original Anime a 5 / 10 because it focused way too much on the other girls and less on Sumireko which pissed me off and then the OVA came out and finally Sumireko is the center of it but at the end the author pulled off one of the oldest tricks in the books in any Harem Anime ! lmao really author now you gonna start acting like you had good Harem characters ? lol no your characters sucks you had one good girl and you sold her out and let her stay on the background forever ... sigh ffs .

i would have given this an 8 /10 if it had a solid conclusion but with how things end up im gonna go with 6/10 .

Guys, I think [THE BENCH] is an enemy stand.

Jokes aside, this was a pretty good way of wrapping up the series. I was surprised at it being 70 minutes long, so I guess it's like watching 3 episodes wrapped into one, but it was long enough to wrap things up. I think Pansy won? (from what I've read in the comments)

Overall 7/10 for this and the main series.

this was very mediocre and not worth the wait one bit considering almost nothing changed and this was very melodramatic for no reason, and the showdown was just a game of cat and mouse where they kept getting the upper hand on the other with all the girls giving them barrettes and just in all I can’t see myself giving this more than a 5 at most.

You kinda explain it yourself lolz.

They don't want those people to be their friends/ love interest. Those who're only after their fame/ look/ glory, we call them fair-whether friends.

The anime did explain all these. Sun-chan was kinda faking himself the whole time, and he's tired of "acting" like a star in front of everyone despite he's an introvert (Trust me, I'm an introvert and I know his feeling, and HATED staying in crowd), because as soon as he shows any sign of being "uncool", he'd lose everything. Only Joro can accept him no matter who he is like = true friend.

As for Sumireko , did you even watch the series or even pay a tiny slim of attention at all?
At middle school Sumireko never hide her look, and lots of people are after her just for her look. Lots of girls jealous about her , and many guys just want a relationship with her. And after the Hazuki incident, she decided to transfer to another school and keep a low profile by hiding her look.

Did you even pay attention to the serie?

Sun-chan was the first victim of bench-kun. Poor guy XD.

This was a pretty good OVA. I laughed hard the moment when Joro wanted a harem for himself my confessing to all the girls. Tsubaki getting all the girls together was a nice of her as they now know that he did it to preserve their friendship. Joro may be a trash but he is a good trash.

Sasanqua getting her moment in this OVA. She might be best girl because of her tsun tsun. XD

Ok, so far I get the Sun-Chan's backstory with his relationship with Joro and the back biting thing that Sun-Chan gets from his fellow team mates when he was starting to be this rinsing star in baseball,.......But that part where we see a girl walking along with sun-chan whose face was blacken, it was pretty obvious that that was Pansy, so wtf anyawayz , in the sequel we're told that pansy attended a different middle school and she was hot back then , so wtf did this OVA did was more like a take back as to how Pansy met Sun chan..........

I was so glad when I saw Pansy and Joro having a moment together at the end.
When Joro said '' The moon is pretty tonight, isn't it?'' after Pansy told him that she really loves him I immediatly remembered something that I have read.
Sometimes people use this phrase with someone they like , while they are under the moon.
So maybe this was a way for Joro to confess his love for Pansy...

I want these two to end up together , Pansy is so sweet and she cares for him likes him a lot.
The OVA was very enjoyable , I liked the amount of comedy it had ,they were moments where i laughed a lot !!
And I'm glad we had the chance to learn more about Ooga's life. He really had a big character development.

I like it when smartasses get their outsmarting outsmarted, I could feel Hose chewing and swallowing his own shit, it was very pleasing.

Bros before hoes, this way Sun chan won't resent his friend for getting attention, and he gets to feel like the number one. After all, he did win a big match so he's entitled to. And the hoes get to remain friends with each other! A very appropriate finale.

Gosh I forgot how much I liked this anime.
It's play on rom-com troupes and how it can be aware of itself at times, is just truly something that I really haven't seen in any other anime (or I have and I'm just forgetting,) and I really love it for that. Sure it can stupid, don't get me wrong, but I love it regardless.

I really liked how Sun-Chan's backstory was told in segments throughout the OVA, and I gotta say that I was actually a bit more invested in the baseball game than the whole 'competition' that the others were doing. And yooo he got "benched" too lol.
I mean it's probably cause just I'm fan of baseball in general.

And speaking of the competition, just when you think one of them has won, the other pulls a comeback. Gosh that was really something, especially when the hoard of girls just kinda appear, and then the same thing just happens for Joro too. Like in the back of my mind I knew he was gonna win somehow, I just didn't think he'd win in an somehow complicated way.

I like the ending, the whole "The moon's pretty tonight, huh?" line was nicely used at the end there.

Overall, I'm giving this a solid 8.
It made me laugh, confused, excited, dumbfounded by it's logic, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself while watching this.

But if im more precise.. this becomes a 8/10..

And now, just 5 more things to say:

1. I Liked the way the OVA, had the same pace and rythm that the series had.
2. Despite being so RUSHED compared to the novel, they made a pretty good job.
3. The only detail i found in the OVA, was the same detail in the whole series.... "TOO PREDICTABLE"... so obvious that it seems to be on purpose.
4. For me this series was a rollercoaster, too bad and too good episodes... but the last ones were just good and very good like this OVA.. so if we get a 2nd Season i hope it is more like the second half & OVA.
5. And Lastly but the most important thing to say: #TeamSASANQUA Best Waifu indeed.

PS: Already pre-ordered my Sanshokuin UCI Figure.... BUT WHERE IS MY SASANQUA FIGURE!!! UNFORGIVABLE!!!!!
