The official Twitter for the Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama: Hyoutei vs Rikkai - Game of Future (The New Prince of Tennis: Hyoutei vs. Rikkai - Game of Future) 20th anniversary project revealed additional staff and a teaser visual (pictured) on Sunday. The new anime, supervised by original creator Takeshi Konomi, will premiere in two parts in early Spring 2021. The cast members are reprising from the previous anime installments.

The first anime adaptation of the sports manga aired between Fall 2001 and ended in Winter 2005, which was followed by two anime films in 2005 and 2011, along with several original video anime series. The sequel manga also received a television anime in Winter 2012 and a 10-episode original video anime series that ran in 2014–2015. The most recent anime installment, Tennis no Ouji-sama: Best Games!!, began in October 2018, with the third and latest episode released on January 28.

The Ryouma! Shinsei Tennis no Ouji-sama (Ryouma! Rebirth The Prince of Tennis) anime film is set to premiere in 2021, following the delay from its original Spring 2020 date.

How long ago did the original manga end? It surprises me that the adaptation is still alive.

Damn, this was one big franchise already but it's nice to see that they've still got more to offer for the fans so congratulations to all concerned parties!

Tennis no Ouji-sama: Best Games!! is not out yet. I've been waiting for it but there is no news. MAL says it is currently airing but there is no episodes anywhere.

Also I don't get why would they animate something that happened after u-17 world cup without animating the world cup first...

Jesus, I've been wanting to watch the original series for years now and thought the franchise was over.

They have not fully animated "The New Prince of Tennis". It ended right before the u-17 world cup. Still hoping for the anime sequel.
