Well that's interesting development on Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, and that was great to see that Dazai and everyone where still going to save him even if he was a taint

The battle between the fake, Tainted Ryuunosuke against the other authors (plus the real author), par for the main course for the final stretch of this show.

The affinity with Dazai though while the strongest to control the Taint's feelings and emotions, the stance still remains of getting the real Ryuunosuke in coma, and the other injured authors, back alive.

It's surprising to me that the "close bonds" of the authors (as compared to Dazai's idolization) for Ryuunosuke was strong, but felt like a far stretch (whereas for Dazai's weak but close relationship being able to touch his heart).

Only ONE way to save Ryuunosuke: utilize a Taint to save the works (books).
The ONLY problem: to kill or not to kill the fake. With everyone's preferences, it's do or die for your actions.

It's safe to say that Ryuunosuke's salvation will be the plot for the final quarter of the show, and I'm kinda mixed over it...but it is what it is.

I think this episode was rather dragged...

And... to sum it up, they made his real-life hallucinations kind of a split personality at the end of the day. I'd never guess it without reading about it, though, They really have subtle hints which are so difficult to catch.

Pretty sad for Akutagawa to create an imaginary friend version of himself to cope with reality and in order to be his true self which defies the expectations of others.
