| I was loving this show for the majority of it but damn I've never seen an anime that has plummeted this quickly. I'm usually very easy-going with anime too. |

People ripped this series a new one, and it was already on my list to watch, so I just binged it. It was fast-paced in the 2nd half, as is typical in a 12-13 episode series, but I felt the build-up and twists are really not as bad as they're made out to be. Kind of reminds me of a Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts RPG kind of game and the story reflects that in its simplicity. Just like those games have different endings based on your decisions and game completion, this series gave that sort of an ending. You come so close to top completion, only to fall short at the end and get the ending you didn't want because it's not happily ever after. That's this series in a nutshell. I honestly found it really good and enjoyed it to the end! So don't listen to the reviews and negative scoring. Go in with an open mind and decide for yourself! You might end up agreeing with them, or you might really enjoy it. :) |
