A great finish for a great show. Could have been intersting to see more of Honey dealing with both motherhood and being a warrior of love. |

| Didn't like this as much as I expected to. Too much drama in the first half that served no real purpose, with Seira and the father or the romance stuff with the Prince, since what motivates Honey to defeat Panther Claw doesn't really change all that much whether they're alive or dead. The show was fun once those characters died, which was weird because the structure of the show seemed to be flipped from the usual. Why are we getting episodic nonsense in the second half after all of that drama? It was almost like the show already had two stopping points but the writers decided to keep on going, like with Sister Jill being 'defeated' so many times. There was no real comedy to speak of either, which caught me off guard if I'm being honest. When they did include gags they seemed to come out of nowhere. Overall, the show felt awkwardly put together and was kinda bland all things considered. Some good: The art and character designs were very nice and I liked the way Seiji's character was portrayed here too. And I must say the aspects of the show I consistently enjoyed were the varied transformation sequences and the large number of unique Honeys. Also, I really disagree with the review characterizing this as super different from the original anime. It's basically the same thing other than some changes to characters, in fact Flash probably spends even less time in a school setting... |
