A tense episode with the mounting pressure on Sawamura.

There's a bit of gap between the scores from that game though. I was hoping to see a closer match at this point in the show. But hey, at least both players showed good sportsmanship.

It's hard to control my comment to be safe for work when I think about how much I want to sleep with them all the time, but I'll try

First, I like Sawamura's mindbreak face, not that I want him to be in a bad situation or anything, but I can't help but want to take advantage of him when he's in vulnerable state.

Second, Kawakami is like the fruit that is ready to be eaten, though I don't know if he'll feel the pressure if he's the ace. And Furuya is still a wild card.

Third, I like how Yura's plan backfired, like when the pitcher is in pinch he'll try his reliable pitch, in fact that also happen to Yura's pitcher LOL

And Yuki Masashi!!! When he missed at first I was like 'he's too confident again', but when he hit homerun I'm like 'I want to sleep with him!!! oh wait he's still in school so I've to sleep with his brother Tetsuya instead... wait, who cares about fictional character's age!!!'

I'm still disapointed with what happened with Sawamura but I was still really happy to see Kawakami pitch.

Poor Yura Sogou never stood a chance in the end...

Still skipping an awful lot, I see, and we're getting slideshows too again.

But my boy Toujou finally got to hit a good one, so I'm happy.

That fucking dumbass Eijun. After everything he went through to get that ace number he totally messed up his first game as the ace. With how well everything was going on I forgot how frustrating this anime can be. Anyway on the bright side Kawakami got to pitch and he totally crushed the opponent.

Nori got to shine. Feels like a nice episode but somehow this episode also feels like it's kinda lacking.

Bruh, this anime pisses me off. They really had to do Sawamura like that for his first game as Ace? Like wtf, just let the man win already! He's more than earned it! uggggghhhh

Sawamura getting off the mound was all it took for the match to change, and he said himself that he was dragging the team down. It feels bad and sad. But I guess Miyuki talked for everyone when he said that he wished there was more he could have done for him. But I do believe he found the right words to say to Sawamura. It is something "simple", but he seemed to have forgotten it. That the ace isn't playing alone. And I absolutely loved to see Kawakami shining. Being between Sawamura and Furuya really doesn't leave much space for him, but he became a reliable pitcher and senpai. And I wonder if Masashi is only going to be the "occasional home run machine" or if he is going to become a more reliable batter with time... Well, he is still a first year so he has the potential to become a monster. And it's amazing he is already playing in the main games despite almost never hitting anything.

Man I think the author has run out of ideas because it feels like we're going through the exact same character arc that Furuya has been through but with Sawamura this time around. If this is his last match of the season, it's gonna end on a very sour note for me.

Seidou came through big time. I think Sawamura will bounce back big time from this and come back in the next game but what remains to be seen is if there actually will be another game in this season.

About what happened with Sawamura, I still now think the same I said for the previous episode. Overall the episode was ok.

I still hate the decision to pull Sawamura this early. even from the Baseball pov, if he allowed a runner in scoring position, pull him out, not pull him with one out and runner on first base where he could've pulled through with one pitch.
But it turned out well, Kawakami got his moment to shine. next i expect Furyua to dominate as usual.

When Eijun charged up the ball the same way Kawakami did before, I got emotional. Everyone knows the feeling of having to be taken off the mound. I cried when he shouted all those things about how this is where the real Seidou starts, you could really feel all the emotions Eijun was going through. While he was disappointed in his own performance, as usual, he never stops cheering for his teammates. He dwells on his own failure on his own time, not allowing the negative emotions towards himself to affect the team. Only people watching Eijun closely would've seen him reflect, like Koushuu did. Koushuu is seeing more of who Eijun is, not just loud and blunt, but actually a deeply reflective person. I also cried when Miyuki looked at Eijun from where he was sitting, and while returning the first bump, he told Eijun that the pitcher doesn't carry the whole team alone. It's the words Eijun needed to hear.

Fkn hell, for the first time this season I didn't like the episode. Mostly because I'm just a huge Sawamura fanboy at this point so seeing him switched off made me choke up a bit

I'm calling it!! The ending scene where the coaches are talking I bet the opposite team's coach is gonna say that Sawamura reminds him of our coach or something along those lines.

The author repeats the same drama with the pitchers over and over again, I was happy for Sawamura and now I'm kinda mad.

This whole ace drama I found bullshit as Eijun has already shown in a previous match when he was exhausted that he can bounce back and this is basically a repeat of what happened to Furuya.

I love Eijun, but if he is underperforming, it is the right call to switch him out. Nori made the perfect relief! Even hitting an rbi! Really proud of the third years' ace. :)

It was a great way to teach Eijun that it is not the ace alone that pulls the team. The team also does. The team pulls the ace as well. They really had his back there. Miyuki in particular performed excellently to show him that. I know it can be frustrating to watch this show especially when we love to see Eijun shine, but there is always a lesson to learn. This show is not about the hype alone. I hope everyone understands that.

We’ve had Furuya no Ace. We’ve had Sawamura no Ace (for like 2 eps). Now it’s time for… Kawakami no ACE!!!

Damn, the fact that Seido ended up killing this team made Eijun’s performance even worse 😭 feels bad
