THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Movie (Live Movie) begins w. Members riding the train titled "Welcome to Utapri World", then character intro. ST☆RISH first, then Quartet Night w. swords, then HE★VENS starting w. them falling down. Greeting speech. There's really male audiences? (w. Reiji's "My boy mo") Oh, it connects with Legend Star (after SSS). Live as a kingdom. Medley for special units for the live: Pop, Rock, Medium Ballad, Emotional, Cute, and Magical (Skateboard?). Comment on being in the units and song. HE★VENS first (wait, how can Kimura-san's character change and prepare so fast? (lol)), Quartet Night w. stand mic (rotating like clock), then ST☆RISH w. fire. Final speech. Talking about the road they went through (w. clips from past anime seasons). 3 units performing together titled "Maji Love Kingdom" (also title of the live movie). Then ED by Mamo. Showing practice scenes as well as other members. So the main girl was backstage. |

So they're still on it with their precious 3D art. Their faces and movements looked weird, as always. Welp, that's what you would expect from this type of medium. I gotta be very honest here, I actually enjoyed the music in this >_> Also, their concert production looks CRAZY EXPENSIVE! That has been in my mind constantly when I was watching through each group's stage. Like, wow! Their companies must be rich rich lmao! Confession time: I cannot believe I actually fangirled, fangirled, at Nagi's part when Heaven's performed "Gira×2★Seven". Like, JUST LOOK! ----> @1:15 and 1:19 Uuugghhh, how can you not love that dude slaying his part?! A big negative for me in this movie is the long commentary. I'm sorry but it was so boring and stretched on for way too long. I spaced out and even checked on the notifications on my phone cuz I really couldn't care less. They took way too long cuz they feel like they had to have every single person speak. Anyways, at the end, when all three groups started to sing their last performance together and when the credits showed pictures of all groups practicing, showing the side characters in the audience and Nanami from behind the stage, I actually felt sad that this series is about to come to an end. It's the first season I missed the most especially. Fuck it. I'm just going to say it. This series is trash, but I fucking love this trash. Will I ever re-watch this entire series? No. First season maybe, when I really have nothing better to do. The music they have showcased in this movie is so good. I am actually listening to several of them right now on YouTube while I'm writing this post. Yes, I would buy figurines of the characters, especially of Nagi (come on, I love the boy). This series is my guilty pleasure. I know it's shit, but I can't help loving it. Oh god *covers face* I would even buy the CD's if they ever sell them! (specifically Heavens <3) So! Overall score for this movie: 6/10. It would've been a hard 7 if it weren't for the long, boring commentaries. I am going to miss this series. The characters were somewhat enjoyable, I guess. *sigh* It's hard for me to really give it a hard compliment because this anime is just bad lmao. If more content gets released, you bet I'm going to watch it all loool Until next time, UtaPri ~★ |

The Utapri anime is indeed trash and coming from the games like I did, I was pretty much left speechless with how different it was. The games are actually solid and have great character depth. (My heart still breaks over Reiji and Ai </3) This movie and 4 anime seasons have been quite a ride to say the least! I'm sure as hell hoping for a Heavens Otome game, I want to get to know these boys :'D |

I'm afraid I'd be spending way too much money on that one for sure lmao. Gotta collect these boys wearing fancy looking outfits ^3^ I played the PSP/PS Vita Otome games in Japanese and they're really good! If they ever decided to bring these over to the West, I can only recommend playing them :) |

Best part was Reiji calling out for the the boys in the crowd as well, lol. 3D models were decent. But I do hate it as well for these types of anime that EVERYONE needs te say something and have equal screentime and lines. Especially when there's 18 (!) of them it drags on waaaay to long and is so damn boring. I think half the movie was just them talking in circles. |
