DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- As soon as the narrator told us that the ganpai was completely understood we knew Ginji was done… This time he used transparent glue, wherever he got it, and propped up a limited amount of tiles so that he and only he would see them at an angle. Yet the moonlight intensified the shadows and Harada caught on. As anticipated he used it against Ginji and it was quite glorious. Ginji thinking the game was absolutely his and realizing a grain of rice was on his supposed winning tile, looking up to check if it was a coincidence or not and seeing Harada smiling right at him as chilling proof it wasn't, and then the metaphor of sneaking up behind Ginji with a blade and coming full circle made for a strong climax. Even Harada thought of his play as a brutal katana swing here and he gave some wisdom after decimating Ginji in one clean strike, “take out the genius with the first swing of the blade, that’s the only way to do it…!” Ginji and Harada were a contrasting duo and seeing Ginji at his throat, getting into Harada’s mind all the way until the end made it an endearing battle. And Ginji, although you may have been stricken down, that attack you got on Harada is a permanent wound and one that will indefinitely help the team. An old warrior just fell in combat as he promised he would. The first player of the east west battle has gone below 0 and it only took 5+ hours. |
| Wow, Ginji is out. Also I didn't call that ganpai method at all lol. I don't know how feasible that would be in real life, but it is a cool idea! There's some real life ganpai going on when playing cards with my family, too, because we are using an ancient deck that's completely messed up and we can tell like three or four different cards just from which parts have been torn off lol I'll stop reading for today, but I am really excited to see how this battle continues! I expect we will see Hiroyuki learn a valuable lesson and maybe get a good hit on someone, but also it's finally time for Ten to show his skills again, too. |
