This is written as of ep7. If you were working with Seizaki, how would you plan on catching Magase?
Preferably bring charges to her. If not, kidnapping or if necessary, kill her. Note I think the latter is a fair option considering Seizaki was willing to kidnap Itsuki. So if you think it is a necessary action, feel free to suggest that.
Ideas don't need to be too specific, it can be broad or detailed.
First, what to charge her with if we are to arrest her. I think murder is our best chance. She sent a live video of her murdering Sekuro. Evidence is clear as day.
Possibly abetting suicide, but there is no concrete evidence for that so I doubt we can charge her for that.
So we got that out of the way.. next, we need some preparations:
1) First it is clear that Magase can 'mind control' through words. To counter that, earplugs is needed during operations where she might be around.
Earplugs aren't perfect, but should be enough to block her voice. Greater attenuation the better. If we need to communicate, sound mufflers over earphones will do the trick.
2) Also she seems to persuade people through arousal. Maybe a injection(for more immediate effect) with some sort of anaphrodisiac or dopamine antagonist drug. Of course this is speculation and I'm not sure how her suggestion ability work. I'm just going by what we know so far. This is a back up if earplugs and sound mufflers fail.
Problem is that we can't just wear the earplugs everywhere we go. She could ambush us(like she did in ep7) and that is why we need to carry the injection for emergency use. So now that she is largely no longer a threat, we need to find her and subdue her. This is difficult because she can change her appearance which make tracking her down difficult. We don't know if there is a supernatural element to this, so I'll assume there is. We will need to rule each possibility out.
1) She uses make-up and other traditional methodology to change her appearance. This is possible in real life. This has been demonstrated by intelligence agencies rather publicly.
2) She can supernaturally morph her face. Said appearance does not resemble any actual person. This mean that no one share the same face as her disguise.
3) She mimics other's faces. So she 'duplicates' another person. As a result, two people should have the same faces, like twins.
4) She steals someone face. She kills them and somehow take their face. IE. Sekuro's face is up for grabs.
----------------
We can rule these out based on existing known cases of her face changes. So what do we know about her transformations:
A) She have only been changing in to other females. Never male. We can rule out males as potential suspects. Unless otherwise proven wrong of course.
B) She was(or looks like) Itsuki's wife. This is the greatest information we can have gotten for her transformation. If Magase was NOT Itsuki's wife, the unnamed child would immediately recognize this. He would know rather that was his mom or not.
This means she either IS his mother, or she changed to her appearance. If Magase changed to her appearance, she either kidnapped or murdered the original. Itsuki is a bit crazy anyways and seems to cooperate with her. So I wouldn't rule it out entirely... but I find the murder unlikely, but still a possibility. If Magase was Itsuki's wife from the start, then nothing would have to be done. If this is true, it is MUCH more easy to keep track of Magase's movement.
If the real wife was murdered or kidnapped, we can expect her activities to change prior to the debate/election. Magase is not his wife and hence would not act the same way. Questioning the kid would give us insight on any change of behaviors. Which can hint if Magase was the wife the whole time, or just took her place somehow.
We can do further verification. We can contact Magase's old physician and see if he has any medical and maybe DNA data on her. We can cross reference that information with Itsuki's wife. Make sure there are no signs of forgery. If they match, then they are the same person. If not, then they aren't, simple as that.
We will also have to see if the wife's behavior revert back to normal once the debate was over. If so, we need to question the wife for any blank memories or if she was kidnapped, or what she was doing during the time of the live debate.
Next thing to do is to track down Sekuro's body. We can try to pinpoint the location of the murder via background information. Probably in some storage shed or basement. Maybe even the janitor's room of some building.
We can also try and pinpoint the exact location by tracking down the IP address. We can find out a lot of other information based on her internet footprint.
She used a camera, but was sent to his computer, meaning it had to go through a computer and uploaded to the internet, live or not.
Sekuro was murdered by Magase. We can determine Sekuro's condition. If only dismembered, then we can rule out Magase stealing faces. If her body was more than just dismembered, we can expect some foul play after the murder. Which may hint at 'stealing faces.'
We also need to look back at the photos of the 'prostitutes' and try to find if they actually exist independently from Magase. If they are alive and doing their own thing, we can safely say she copies faces. If they are dead or missing, then it might be that she stole their faces. If no record is found, then Magase can freely change her appearance with no reference to other people.
-----------
We can use all the above clues to try and pin point her method of facial transformation. Once we know how she transform, we can use that to give us clues as to where she might be. If she took Sekuro's face, then tracking down where Sekuro is last seen would be most logical.
If Magase was Itsuki's wife, even easier.
If she can freely change her appearance, then we need to look for undocumented people as suspects.
If we know her actions, we can try and set a trap and catch her. Of course all this is easier said than done. It is still going to be difficult finding out who she is and where she is at any point in time. These are just ideas I came up with. |
