----------------------------------------
It felt to me like the soundtrack was especially lovely this episode! John incidentally meeting the girl through the bush was super cute. I kept wondering how and whether they were going to meet there, and that was such a great way to do it. Trust kids to effortlessly bridge two different worlds and get along like that, even when adults can't. I loved the symbolism of that bush and the meaning of them meeting through it, obvious and simple or not.

It's clear the two are going to get on very well, and I can't wait to see more develop between the two.
And it looks like she's back next episode! And getting on well with Sandy?? Wasn't expecting that, and I do wonder whether it'll last--but it's a nice surprise to see. :) I hope the drama I suspect doesn't end up too messy or clichéd, though the show has handled what little drama there has been very well so far, exceeding my expectations every time--so maybe I shouldn't worry.

Thus, another episode of Meiken Lassie that's filled me with nothing but good vibes, and left me in the usual perfect mix of cozy and happy feels. This is such a serenely comfy and nostalgic show, and I love it so much. It really feels timeless.
More and more I'm loving its tranquil English countryside setting, and the surprisingly large character the town is playing in the show. I'm really starting to feel like I grew up/live there too with all I'm coming to learn and recognise about it and its many residents and locations. You can always count on WMT shows to do that to you.
