I got chills this episode especially watching the catcher and pitcher.

When you have experienced players going up against rookies, it brings a sense of excitement on the field.

Wow, if that first year pitcher is hotter and doesn't wear lame glasses he could be a new protagonist. Now he's just a stepping stone for Okumura to shine. Anyway this episode seems like a breath of fresh air, a new beginning of new generation.

Good episode.

Okumura seems a bit too OP for my taste.

This game brings back memories.

Okumura did a good job of calming down Asada.

Nice change of pace. Of course I was also hyped to see Okumura in action.

Finally let's see Okumura playing. Asada seems to be a very interesting character too.

For whatever reason I hoped that intra-squad game would take only one episode. From the look of preview it seems it will take at least two more.

I guess it's fine since the new characters are interesting and we need them to develop to provide some depth to the story.

But I still would love faster progress.

It's nice to see an Intrasquad game.

Okumura seems like a good catcher, he was able to help Asada pitch better. I'm curious what kind of pitches Asada can throw.

Sawamura hiding behind the pole trying to watch the game was funny. xD

Can't wait for more.

Asada doesn't look half bad! I see potential on him, he may be a good reliever pitcher like Kawakami is, he just needs to be polished. Okumura seems to know well what his job is. I expect good things from him from now on.

Sawamura sneaking from behind the pole was funny xD.

Nice and intrasquad game between second stringers and first years. Ofc the senpais r showing their tenacity, they dun want to loose against first years. Anyway the match was nthng special so far and I seriously want more focus on Eijun.

Okumura really would be an asset to the first string, he knows how to motivate his teammates. I liked how he motivated his pitcher.

I figured Okumura was set out to be the "successor" of Miyuki and in this episode we start to see how

I've been feeling this for quite some time but Seto has that Miyuki aura. Their personality feels similar.

This one was a bit boring to me since I don't really care about these characters. At least not yet, but it may be a matter of time until they grow on me. Kuki is kinda cool though.

Many feelings for the third-years who couldn't participate in the intrasquad game :( But I'm happy that they still want to help out the team in any way they can.

I love how Koushuu and Takuma are serious in winning against the second and third years. That's the right attitude! Their teamwork also inspires Asada. Also, Kuki, who's sort of infectious like Eijun is, but cooler XD The regulars also can't help but be interested in the game. I like the first years, but I also like the second and third years who are trying to prove their themselves. Takatsu definitely stands out (well also because he's given more screen time).

You're right that they'll need to build up the 1st year characters right from the start again. The author probably planned Sawamura to be the Koshien champion with this batch of 1st year when he reach 3rd year.

Personally I prefer he wins with the current Miyuki batch or even the previous batch. They build up those 2 batches of characters well. This 1st year just feel flimsy. Hopefully I get an adrenaline rush too watching them win with this batch. But right now I just can't seem to care as much with these new characters.

Nice little intrasquad match between the first year rookies and the second string players. Okumura has the most promising to be put on first string. Asada on the other hand may not have talent but he certainly has some potential to be as good as Kawakami given time.

An intrasquad game!!

Seto and Okumura are both versatile players. They’re definitely going to be extremely helpful for the team.
