Oh God! Fujimura looked beyond saving. But I like the fact that the amount of realism in the manga. She couldn't even notice Eiji's kindness yet instantly finding her groove again knowing Nao looked for her and even considered him to be kind and all to the point wondering what if she was Izumi herself...besides she still wonders why she is bored when it comes to that Taka-guy and all. I am like "Open your eyes! You don't like him at all!"

Anyways, I thought Eiji was unconsciously too kind to her when he said he is there for her if she loses both Nao and that Taka-guy.

And I cannot help but feel sorry for Izumi's genuine intention ended up hurting Fujimura seemingly beyond repair. The moment she asked for Nao from Izumi was too sad. Although she made light of it as an example on the outside, she must have been feeling terrible on the inside. Didn't think I would come to feel sorry for her this much.

She came to report to Eiji about breaking up with that Taka-guy (hope I saw the last of him) with her new look hairstyle (I think she is ready to change herself) and actually ended up making a scene, crying in the open, being unable to complete her sentence about her interaction with Izumi leading to Eiji make a run while holding hands as Ikezawa looked their way!

While I never liked Fujimura much, somehow this chapter really clicked with me. I think I will be torn between the two girls as potential romance interest of Eiji! Never thought I would say it! Good job, Sensei! (Although the characters pointing out coincidences weren't needed this late in the story, haha)

This manga is super underrated. The raw emotions are incredibly real.

@shanimebib: I totally agree with you, even if I think that Fujimura was a bit annoying here, I'm glad she was able to realize that she doesn't really love Taka.
Poor Izumi, she didn't understand, and I hope Fujimura will apologize because I think they could have a good chemistry as friends.

Indeed, Eiji was really kind to say that. He cares about her and it seems that Fujimura was able to move on thanks to him, since he's the one she goes to see after breaking up with Taka. But I think she was crying because of what she did to Izumi. It seems she regrets it. So I hope Eiji will be able to help her and that's she'll be able to notice his kindness now.

I like her new hairstyle by the way.

I still want Eiji to end up with Fujimura, but I can't wait to see what will happen next. Maybe Eiji and Fujimura will go to talk to Nao and Izumi together. Don't really know what to think about Ikezawa seeing them. Was it for her to realize that she won't be able to be with Eiji? Or was it to get her nose caught in their problems so she'll be able to learn more about Eiji?

As you said, Mizuno Minami is doing a good job here! And after Nijiiro Days I didn't expect that.

PS: Nice illustration of Eiji for this chapter. I also like the cover of volume 6 with Fujimura.

@Kirie-san: I like her new hairstyle too, the other one was cute but this felt more mature. For now, I am glad that we didn't see the overly used "shortening the hair" ahem OmoFuri ahem.

However, couldn't really appreciate her actual looks because she had a distraught face.

Also, the chapter started with Taichi and ended with Ikezawa. Maybe there was a hint on that.

OT: After praising her new looks, I asked my colleague if shortening one's hair is normal in Japan. She smiled and said it has more to do with the hassle of maintaining long hair than having one's heart broken. I felt so silly and embarrassed asking her something like that, haha! Damn you, shoujo manga! Anyways, we had a good laugh afterwards.

@shanimebib: I agree, this one feels more mature and we didn't got the "I cut my hair because I want to change", like Nozomi in Nijiiro Days (I haven't read OmoFuri). But yes, I hope we'll be able to see her smile with this new hairstyle.

Maybe, I wonder what they'll do (Taichi and Ikezawa)...

Lol, I understand. I used to have long hair but it was a hassle to comb and wash it so I've cut it. Not too short either but yeah, people don't cut their hair because of a broken heart or something love-related, it's only the case in shoujo mangas I think. xD

dammmmmmn...........Fujimara is a major wreck right now. You could definitely feel the raw emotion she wanted to get out when confronting Izumi, but chose to run away after things got awkward. And even at the end with Taka-kun she was just entirely fed up with everything. I'm kinda on the fence with Izumi tbh. On one hand I like how she really loves Bessho and wants to make the most of their relationship, but on the other hand I really don't like those innocent type characters that inadvertently ruin other characters like that.

And I'm still on Eiji x Ikezawa ship, but part of me feels like Eiji and Fujiwara are more destined to be together, given how they share similar feelings in their scenarios (love that will never be fulfilled). Poor Ikezawa though, seeing Eiji run off with Fuji. can't help but cause misunderstandings lolol

Well, at least Fujimura realized things before doing something that she could have regret for long time and that could not make her situation any better. I think she’s a pure person, so pure that she find hard to accept reality for the shit it sometimes is.
Anyway, I still find her annoying.
