Unfair and Unreasonable Scores

The current score of this (5.95) is totally not what this show deserves, even for a lot of shows this season they are getting low scores that for the most part do not deserve to be that low. I hate the reason why that a lot of shows get lower scores is because of people nit picking at every little detail and if something is off even a tiny bit they give the show a bad score like nothing’s perfect people your allowed to critic but you don’t have to be so harsh for the dumbest reasons. So here’s a question for anyone that reads this, do you believe that this show deserves the score that it currently has or do you think it should be lower or higher and explain why? Also if there are other shows this season that have low scores for bad reasons

It's actually kind of baffling, since "Why the hell are you here, Teacher!?", which is just a galore of low quality, cringy fanservice and also a short has score above 7.

MAL scores mean nothing.

People rate on image over anything else and that's the consequence of everyone having access to every single seasonal at the push of a button. 'Cute robutt girl and otaku male MC no way it can be good' that kind of stuff. Undeserved for a cute and inoffensive short about hobbies and passion and cute robutss.

I was surprised by the score too considering the interesting premise and how amusing the first ep was. No idea why.

People usually give high scores to shows that they find good and low scores to shows they think are bad. So if you're wondering why this show has a low score, I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that it's probably because people didn't like it.

yes there is that 1-10 score, but few shows ever make it to 9, as a result, when people are looking at shows, they'll see 8s and lower. This will make give them the impression that if it's 8, even if 8 isn't the highest possible show, they'll see 8 as what's liked by most people or as what has the highest quality. 7 shows will be hit or miss, and six MIGHT be worth checking out. This leaves 5 shows as complete skips, even if it technically is only JUST below the median of 1-10, 5.5.

People enjoy different things and that's fine. It's just weird to me when people need to validate their taste in anime through that show's score. If you enjoy it just watch it. Give it the rating you feel like it deserves.

Why does it matter what other people think?

I ignore the scores, there are too many cancerous "popular" shows that are highly rated despite being trash.
I tend to give most shows at least 3 episodes to impress me, this one I'll be watching.

I also like having shows with a variety of length, 12 minutes is perfect when I want to watch some anime but don't have the time for a full length episode.

Also, with shows like this, if they tried for full length episodes I suspect that they'd run out of content pretty fast and get super repetitive.

I have said this before. MAL scores and reviews means nothing. Its based on how 'pretty' a show looks. And by prettiness I didn't mean just animation I meant art, animation, music, how many cute girls there are in the show, how 'normal' friendly the show is, etc....

Normalfags who usually feel bad about giving anything that mildly entertained them less than 7 won't even look at the direction of this show which reeks of B movie tier production values even if its kindoff fun. Instead it will be picked up by autists who purposefully try to average their score around 4 to give off that vibe of 'Professional Anime Critic'.

There is RobiHachi(which too lacks in the prettiness scale) too this season that don't deserve its score and needs something higher. Well something higher than completely generic stuff like Kenjo no mago and Bokuben at the very least.

Never use MAL as an accurate metric of anime quality. It should be better used as a metric for popularity.
