| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Those piano tunes~ The weird black screens aside, that was music to my ears. Got to see a younger Kai again. This show is well known for its characterization so it's not surprising. I'm glad it's revisiting his past again to show what he was like before and the person he grew up to be. |

| Imo a lot weaker than the previous season. And from what I've saw in the manga forums the contest really seems that long. I just don't really care about Kai and Sousuke anymore. And this is getting a bit boring. The only episodes so far that were interesting were the ones with Amamiya and his father and Pei Wang and his background. Other than that this season seemed less interesting. This continues here. I mean: Lech and his story was nice. They could have shown from him and his sister. Instead we get Ajino Sousuke and Kai again and some flashbacks. That was fun to watch in S1 but here ... nothing new. Feels uneventful to watch that long tournament with only every now and then some interesting scenes. Might lower my score to 7 (season 1 I scored 9 - was more fun the childhood and youth before the tournament started and the beginning of tournament with new chars and Adamski) - if the end does not deliver good to keep it at 8 for me. |
| That was a good play by Kei, and I see his piano has elevated and evolved from the forest. I always get emotional whenever they show how and where he came from, but I highly doubt he will win the competition. I think Lech might take it, since he seems to have a tragic backstory. |

| Holy smokes. Kai's version of that concerto is so amazing. I love this show so much for being able to show music off so brilliantly. Kai and Ajino's relationship is so deep. Looking forward to more! |
