Ooh in the aftermath of their goodbyes, it looks like Tsutsui is already looking for Iroha.

I honestly feel sorry for Tsutsui this episode. He seems so lonely without Iroha. More importantly, we're getting a look at the job after his graduation with the timeskip. Seems like he still likes to watch anime like he used to lol

Too bad about Iroha as she seems to have lost her memory cause of the surgery.

Yo wtf i didn't expect a time skip this episode. Watching Tsutsui felt really sad

And whoa iroha survived the surgery costing her memories. She looks great with short hair, I hope she regains her memories if they meet.

And that ending was heartwarming

What a huge time-skip. Well, that would be expected as only one episode is left, probably better this way. Also, where is Ayado or did I miss something?

I hope it ends well, I don't want any other girlfriend for Tsutsui and Iroha staying with her not blood-related brother is kinda icky.

The final few seconds of the ending song looks great! This season is a major upgrade from the lacklustre first season. I never thought I'd see the anime progress this far.

Wasn't that much of a question mark that the brother was into her. I really disliked him throughout the anime.

"I don't mind carrying this pain.I'm much happier then i ever would have been if i'd lived my life without meeting her." Tsutsui became a real man after the time-skip.

Also Iroha is back tho without her memories, i wonder if they'll stumble upon each other before she goes back to U.S.
well that's just my opinion.....

Well , Tsutsui is back to his usual don't give damn thing after losing Iroha.
Good thing a kick in a but from his Okasan did the trick .

Fast Forward 7 years, Tsutsui is doing great and so does his other friends, but uh oh looks like Iroha is back with no memories and it looks like his step onichan is making a move to woo her......

One more to go , btw did Ito and Ayano got into a relationship or did they just faded away?????/

Though the comments by the others were hurtful its nice to see Hikari's friends step in to try and help him despite the wall that he's trying to hide behind. Its good that in the end the truth about Iroha did come out. The scene where Ito revealed it to the others sure was a powerful one when combined with the music. The goodbye scene sure was quite the emotional one. Despite the loss being keenly felt by all its nice that Hikari and his friends were able to use this as a source of motivation to move forward with their lives and join society as adults. It sure was interesting seeing how everyone changed as adults though both physically and mentally. Memories for life huh while its nice that Iroha survived its sad seeing her like this. Can't wait to see what happens in the finale next ep.

Takanashi has really turned around in the end! Good to see.

Damn this was quite a heavy episode, I actually didn't expect to see a time-skip in this episode. I was more expecting it in the final episode. Eventho Tsutsui has grown up quite a bit, gotten good social skills now, some things never change, once an Otaku, alyways an Otaku. (Somewhat relateable)

Iroha with short hair is quite the sight!

Tsutsui was so depressed after Iroha's misfortune, damn. A huge time-skip, unexpected not gonna lie. It's pretty funny how Tsutsui is more successful than Takanashi, hahaha. Tsutsui is still having a hard time moving on, that's sad, at least Iroha didn't die and only lost her memories. We got some stuff on Iroha at the end, seems like she really doesn't recognize a thing. Really good episode.

Damn, some heart wrenching scenes and an extra big time skip, talk about unexpected.

And yo, Irohas brother is actually pretty scummy (even more than before)

Well, doesn't matter how, this will definitly end on a happy note, there's just no other way, but I'm still looking forward to see how exactly it's going to play out.

This season has been really good so far and I'm expecting great things from the finale.

The final moments where Tsutsui has given up all hope for Iroha's circumstance...or is it? With everyone now understanding her situation, even bad bud Takanashi could not have noticed how detrimented Tsutsui was.

What a timeskip into the future (that's expected coming from the manga), the graduation moment, even as past memories linger. A job for everyone, but Tsutsui's otaku moments still don't die. That's a cool touch.

Iroha is back after 7 years, with all her memories gone, exchanged for her life. Her decision to stick to the "brother" who stayed with her is mentioned, but manga readers already know the end result.

Last episode next week. Honestly, coming this far, this season is a wonder and proper adaptation continued in careful judgment and planning. A major boost in quality. Hope the finale will wrap everything thus far as per the manga.

Here we GO, FINAL EPISODE NEXT WEEK!!!

Regarding todays episode, time moves on for tsutsui and friends as they are now all having a work. And tsutsui sure is now like a NORMAL person, not like during his HS days having a great career in him... the only thing he is missing is having a love life...

And now Iroha came back to japan after that successful operation in Los angeles. It has been 7 years ago when that operation happened, and SHE DOES FORGET EVERYTHING ALREADY...

WHAT WILL happen next week? Im sure tsutsui and iroha will meet each other again? Hmmm... lets see what will happen on the finale episode...

This episode really touched my heart, it made me want to cry and I will not deny that I let out some tears. Ito, Ishino, Takanashi. Having friends like that, who support you and share your sadness and joy to lighten the load are like a precious treasure. I love how despite their differences ended up being great friends :). I love that aspect in this anime.
It was kind of funny to see how Tsutsui is popular in his work, the opposite of when he was in high school 😅.
I was surprised that Takanashi and Iroha are still together, and they will even have a baby.
Ito is living his dream, although I miss not seeing Ayado in the meeting. I hope you continue together.
And well, it's sad to know that Iroha lost her memories, but I'm glad she survived her operation. "I changed my memories in exchange for my life." I look forward to the next and final chapter, and I hope that Tsutsui sees Iroha before he leaves for Los Angeles. I would like that at least she knew the truth of the beautiful memories that happened and the people she met in her last months.

"You have many blessings in your life and I know you will find more, many more"
"I do not mind carrying this pain, I am much happier than I would have been if I had lived my life without knowing it." She really marked his life.

Well, they had to break up, and even when both of them suffered, Tsui cannot forget, but Iroha...
Tsui's emo phase felt kinda forced, so was the reaction of his friends, all was solved in no more than 10 minutes.
And I didn't expect the time skip, and now everyone has grown up. Now Tsui is a standard salaryman.
At the beginning of the reunion, couldn't see a ring on Ishino's hands but when Tsui pointed out to her about why was she having tea instead of wine when she likes a lot to drink, I thought immediately 'she's pregnant'. Itou was there too, but no Ayado?
Ah, and the last part...
el_morris said:

2. She survives the surgery, but she'll lose some memories (all memories involving Tsui will be gone, of course)...

Now, the thing is that her (son of a bitch) brother tried to flirt with her but she nicely rejected him, I would like to think it was more than instinct and when she meets Tsui again (will happen, for sure) she'll recognize him. Yes, I want a happy ending too.

Great episode!

Tsutsui’s emotional crisis caused by the farewell was totally understandable and saddening but I feel like the resolution of it and the little change in perspective of the friends was a little hasty. Of course, I wouldn’t want a whole episode covering that but I feel as though another few minutes would’ve sufficed. Tsutsui’s mother kicking him back to his senses was a cool moment xD, great stuff there. I like how it totally didn’t snap him back to reality, for that would have been too cheesy, but at least gave him that extra push to at least ace his entrance examinations. And bloody hell, he even made it to Tokyo University in this state, what the heck lol? Gifted, he’s sure gifted. It was very pleasing to see his friends support him like that, things would’ve surely gone downhill for Tsutsui otherwise.

And then fast forward, timeskip in other words, to seven long years. Got to say though, it was very sudden and unexpected and thus felt a little off initially but it was fine by the end. Tsutsui’s now popular in his work place, the exact opposite of his past, but of course there’s still some hidden sorrow ness within him. "I do not mind carrying this pain, I am much happier than I would have been if I had lived my life without knowing it.” Wonderful quote, he’s sure become a strong man now, great to see! Lol, it’s very heartfelt to me to see him retaining his Otaku self, great little addition! Reunion between th friends, moving on, but where’s Ayado? I have a feeling things went south between Itou and Ayado, hence why we don’t see her here or is she just in University or something? For one thing, she’s younger than the others so that’s a possibility, I’d like to see more on this in next week’s finale episode. By the way, Ishino’s pregnant and Tsutsui’s instincts there knowing right away was pretty amazing.

Meanwhile, it seems as though Iroha is back to town but can’t even remember the littlest of details. To make matters worse, the step-brother is intentionally keeping some of the things under wraps and even goes on to reveal his feelings. But good thing Iroha politely declines, way to go Iroha. Final few moments just make things even more tense now, she’s decided to settle down in Los Angeles but surely there’s still a reunion between Tsutsui and Iroha remaining, right?

Looking forward to seeing how next week’s finale episode wraps things up!

I expected nothing from a series called 3D girlfriend, but started watching last week and turned out to be a lot better than expected. Because of the fact that I marathoned the first 22 episodes, this one was really heart-wrenching for me... I hated it because I honestly thought it was the final episode...it really looks like a final episode... I'm very glad to see there's one more next week.
Getting tired of seeing young people dying at the end of these series. After ep22 I was thinking "WTF is there some sort of epidemic of terminal illnesses targeting young pretty girls in Japan?"

I have to admit I'm honestly surprised that the show opted to completely remove Iroha's memories after the operation, but with one episode to go still that does probably make sense; it's pretty clear that she's gonna run into Tsutsui somehow and somehow regain memories that way, otherwise this would have been the final episode with the time skip and everything else. Only question is how to fill out the rest of that final episode, as their reunion surely won't take that long to work through.

I don't understand why Iroha didn't make a memory journal and take tons of photos etc in order to help her to remember.
Her memory loss was not guaranteed, this seems like it would have been a logical course of action.

I also don't know why nobody even tried to get her contact info.

This will end with a happy ending (I hope)

Ok. so first of all, as you said, the memory loss was not guaranteed, but her surviving the operation was also not guaranteed, so that's why she wanted to sever all connections so that her friend wouldn't know if she died.

About contact info. She moved to LA for operation (presumably, at least she lived there for last 7 years). Try to find someones contact info who is across the globe. And no, she wouldn't have social media most likely, for same reason as above.

As for the ending, it's almost confirmed happy ending, if you watch the ED to the end.

Seems like a massive cop out on her behalf.
As for the social media part, even if she didn't have it she'd made friends, friends who would have probably had profiles.

It would be probable that someone as smart as Tsutsui would have been able to find her.

I did see the end, it gives me hope but I've been disappointed before.

I just hope that the prick brother gets what he deserves.

Speaking of creep brother, he can also be reason why they wouldn't be able to contact each other, considering his past actions towards Tsutsui. And I don't think that was copout, She literally could die, and before they went to school pool last time, she said she didn't expected to love Tsutsun so much, probably same with the friends. So she didn't want to hurt them.

Damn, it really touched me! Especialy Iroha and Tsutsui farewel flashback!

Tsutsui is blessed with her good friends and family, they all managed to help Tsutsui to step forward, and he did it!

Didn't expect a time skip of seven years, but it was awesome, Tsutsui is quite better in social skill, I am glad about Ichino being pregnant! I wonder where is Ayado!

Iroha returned and her supose brother showed her home and school, and i hate him so much for hidding about Tsutsui to Iroha, and instead of that confessed, it frustated me a lot! And she decided to return to Los Angeles!

Curious to see next episode!

I feel heartless, but really, he could do things so much better, as her to be in contact, tell their friends earlier instead just being gloomy all by himself.

Wow, now it's obvious why her brother was so against him. He wanted her to herself. Truth is, I don't mind them being together and for Tsutsu find someone new. But really, I think it will be nice if the others are told she's fine. But guess they're gonna meet her anyway, so...

Iroha has really forgotten everything huh...
LOL at earlier empty husk Tsutsui...so that's what could happen to a true fully fledged otaku that has also truly fallen in love but in the end did't work out...
I wonder if Iroha could still remember Tsutsui cuz on the new ED visuals, the two are holding hands together... better wait for next week for the conclusion!
