THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

This was an interesting start to the OVA. Poor Coney though. :'(

Hokuto and Seishirou are right - Subaru can be too polite for his own good. His belief in everyone having some good in them is what makes him a sweet character nevertheless. And he loves dogs! :3

Some of the tracks from the OST are good too, but I could care less for the "Kiss Kiss" songs.

I really wanted to like this more than I did, it felt like it was missing something and fell a bit flat for me.
Also the Morrissey knock off and his Kiss Kiss song made me laugh until I was crying.

The initial hook about a man born lucky exploiting that to get away with murder was interesting as well as a collateral victim of his misdeeds using supernatural means for revenge but he seemed to become something like an evil wizard for no apparent reason at the end so the climax didn't make a lot of sense.

Come to think of it, the first part didn't make that much sense either. The detective asks what man would get onto an elevator that he has sabotaged, but the elevator itself didn't kill anyone; it was only because the president had a weak heart that he died. Nagumo would just have to be gutsy to do it rather than confident that he was supernaturally safe from harm.

Since I'm not particularly trying to make sense of it, I can fully enjoy the ride: the looks Sumeragi twins serve, the art style, the sound, 90s aesthetics... I'm all in, loved every second
see you, space cowperson . . .

Man, this ain't something that's remotely related to the manga sub-plots.

Its just a Dio-Archetype character getting minced by a gay vet who is voiced by Dio.

The plot is bad, the pacing is bad, the art is okay. But something better can be done pretty well.

Very interesting, I really like the artstyle.

All the characters are wearing cool drip, lol. Hokuto is a certified waifu!

This was super inconsistent with both too much explanation and too little. The characters are pretty weird: very fashionable but timid boy who is actually powerful, very fashionable sexpot girl who makes this extremely awkward, and a very quiet guy who has like no personality but is the most powerful. The plot had some interesting stuff, but, as others have mentioned, there are some really weird plot points that don't really lend this to making a lot of sense. It didn't make much sense to me until the very end anyway. Also, what's with the line about the lady being covered in blood but having no blood on her only to have her sweater than appear totally bloody in the next scene? Seems so sloppy.

The only thing I really liked about this was some of the atmosphere, the action scenes, and the nighttime city views. It's disappointing because I've been looking forward to this.
