OMG. I have so much to say about this trailer. One word though: HYPE! here are my thoughts: When I saw Conan wake up i the suitcase I started dying of laughter (I guess that's how he got to Singapore--though I originally was guessing he took the temp. antidote.). I still want to ask why Kid doesn't give him a better disguise (you can tell in the first 30 second trailer that it's Kaito with Conan when he introduces himself to Ran). I guess since Conan's going to be there for a few days, whatever mask Kid could give him would probably wear away after a while...This also begs my next question: Did Kid freaking abduct Conan and bring him to Singapore? If so...HAHAHA. I sort of translated Kid's first line from this trailer. Something along the lines of "This time I need your strength, mei-tantei!" The artwork in this is so gorgeous. Ooh I guess there's a bunch of serial murders happening in the Marina Bay Sands--I guess it's a pretty cool way to get Kid involved in it all. I really need to know what happened to Kid's card and why it's covered in blood! (Especially since it's flying past that criminal behavoir psychologist) Once again, can I say what gorgeous animation and artwork?! If you look closely at 0:25, you'll see the poles and mechanics of Kid's hang glider! That's pretty cool! They really stepped up this confrontation between Kid and Makoto! It looks amazing! I also never noticed Kid's (should I say crazy/insane?) grin at 0:31 in slow motion. I guess since we see Conan kicking the soccer ball at Makoto in the next shot, that's probably why he's grinning. Every detail is stunning. Also, let's note just how far of a shot Conan made with his soccer ball And again, there's why Conan is helping him. I have a feeling that Conan waking up in Singapore is before Kid gets injured, so unless if Kid can see the future, I don't see why Conan would be helping him... And then there's Conan's line in this trailer. When he says "Kid...why did you bring me here?" And ahhhhh i need to know what happened to Kid! (Seriously, that's a pretty hefty amount of blood coming from his arm) And then there's the official song: OMG it sounds amazing, and IMO I think it fits what we know of this movie so far PERFECTLY! I'm looking forward to more Kid and Conan teamwork and Makoto being a bad*ss! I guess Kid and Conan are gonna have a lot of screen time together, since Conan was "dragged there" by Kid I'm also still curious as to the whole Shinichi and Ran thing. Most likely since it looks like Conan is staying Conan, it's going to be Kaito. I personally have no complaints--but I hope that's not Ran's plot in this movie (since in the last few movies she's just been...there) Also, since it looks Haibara is still in Japan, I wonder if that means the Detective Boys will be staying there as well and not interfering with the story...? If so, then YES. They're so annoying LOL And OMG what is with those guys with bazookas! I'm really excited to see where it goes. And jeez, the art at 1:03 when Conan raises his watch looks so beautiful. All the action with the sapphire and the war ships look amazing! I've actually now become really attached to the lore behind the sapphire, since it "sank in the 19th century". For once, I feel worried for Sonoko. I wondered what happened to her?! And it isn't a Conan movie without a lot of property damage LOL. Super excited for Kid shooting his card gun at the bad guys (while holding Conan in his arms no less). I see a the guys with a gun, knife/dagger thing, a machine gun, and what looks like a kendo sword or bo staff? Kid rescues Conan--I'm excited! The animation with the logo is as beautiful as always. I also just watched the trailer again and noticed and can confirm that Kid IS going to be disguised as Shinichi. If you pause at the scene where the safe is being opened up, you see Conan (as Arthur Hirai), some random guy, Ran, Sonoko, Kogoro, Leon Low (the criminal psychologist), another random guy, Makoto, and Shinichi (Kid). But... But that last scene!NOOO KID! (Don't drown!). Just based on the background, I guess maybe he's trying to get the sapphire from underwater? Or he's trapped somewhere with it? Poor Kaito is going to be beat up a lot in this movie. He's definitely not escaping Makoto without a lot of bruises, then there's whatever the deal is with that attempted murder on him, and then he's about to drown?! I think this movie will be one of the best ones, solely based on what we already know. It has a lot of potential, and I'm hoping it doesn't go to waste. (There's also going to be a different director than the other movies) I really wish I didn't have to wait until October/November to watch it with subs... I realize I'm going way over the top with all of this, but I can't help myself! Kid is my favorite character ever ^-^ Is it wishful thinking to hope that Aoko appears in this movie? I feel like if Kid thought he was going to die, he'd think of Aoko... So...what are your thoughts on this trailer? |
