The manga has no mecha in it. The only mecha-like machine is the ship. The anime doesnt focus on romance, but al i can say is that given your very specific romantic preferences in a story, you probably wont be disappointed |

| I hope that the anime adaptation does not rush the last plot twist conflict and add new stuff to it to make the ending truly satisfying. I pray that this adaptation does not get modified to a point that the experience is not as good as the manga (TPN for example, that is just my personal opinion though). Fingers crossed for the anime series success, this series deserves it. |

| I read some of the manga and it was interesting from the little I read! LIKED that it wasn't mecha and was just a space adventure story it seems, I really craved a space story with no robots after watching the reboot of Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu SO I'm looking forward to this show! I hope everyone gives it a chance and that it will be a nice break from mecha |

| So is this Mugen no Ryvius in weak/less good? When I read the description I thought of Mugen no Ryvius - which sets the bar pretty high. (One excellent anime.) Now I have heard this one would have comedy ... feels probably a lot more shounen-like. Despite the manga being finished and this probably getting a full adaption I fear this won't give a lot of good emotional scenes about surviving. (I'm wondering why MAL which seems more strict with the scores lately is giving an even higher score than for Mugen no Ryvius ... then again it might be that not many people have watched Mugen no Ryvius - and most of them being people that score more strictly. Since it is an older anime.) |

There is two major differences its light hearted comedic writing style that astra has, more colorful and the major plot point that will be revealed in episode 8 most likely if we keep going at this pace, will change the entire perspective of this Anime because its such a ridiculous plot twist, in a good way, and this essentially makes it nothing like mugen no ryvius even if their premise is similar, just different. ~ thats just my opinion as an astra manga reader |
