| @Stormphoenix19 The quotes are all from Dazai, here are a few I found/remembered. “How excruciatingly arduous and unbearable it is to live.” – Dazai “The feeling of joy is perhaps like a speck of gold, glimmering faintly at the bottom of a river of grief.” – Dazai "Be laughed at, be laughed at and become stronger."- Dazai "One cannot influence another, nor can one be influenced by another." Dazai "The true substance of love lies in the act of howling words of love with the desperation of a man jumping into high seas"- Dazai "People exist for love and for revolution" - Dazai "There is such a thing as love in this world. I'm sure of it." - Dazai "One thing that humans have that other creatures don't... that's secrets"- Dazai" "To decide that I'm hopeless before I even begin is nothing but laziness" - Dazai "I must live up to my promise. That is all that matters to me now." -Dazai A lot of the quotes (translated to English from Japanese, I have to read subs) are paraphrased though. Found that out after googling to find more of them. | The most appealing quote from this anime would have to be, " To decide that I'm hopeless before I even begin is nothing but laziness" - Dazai To me this quote is somewhat relatable because my finals are in like 3 weeks and I feel like I am doomed but I know I feel this way because I didn't start studying and its me being lazy. This is embarrassing but this show actually gave me motivation to push and keep going and I will give it my all. Oh another amazing quote has to be, " I must live up to my promise. That is all that matters to me now"- Dazai Once again its because I made a promise to become successful and support my mom in the future to give back what she sacrificed for me. :D This may be a stretch but to say the least this anime was eye-opening and even life changing. |
