Yes, I've heard rumors it's two cours, so maybe it'll adapt the book the original adaptation skipped over? I don't have super high hopes for this remake but that's at least something to look forward to. :D

Congratas on finishing school! I hope your job is going well. I'll graduate in May and I have a job lined up so everything's good there. Since I'm doing civil I took and passed my FE a few weeks ago. Definitely a bit scared about going into the workforce full-time but excited for opportunities where I'm moving to.

An exciting update of mine is that I'll be visiting Japan for a few weeks after I graduate! Saved up some money and got some cheap plane tickets when the economy was looking bad back in fall last year.

Plenty of good shows coming out! I haven't looked too much into what'll be airing in spring but what I can tell you is that 3 really good manga I've read are getting adaptations sometime this year. Those being Sousou no Frieren, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, and Dungeon Meshi. All of them are really good and should be getting adapted before the year's end.

Hey man, saw I had a comment from you but it was deleted before I got to it. I've been out of state for the past few days but assuming that your comment said you were doing well! How's it going?

I'm working in an internship rn so I'm going to get some experience this summer. But seeing how some people ik are working themselves to death at mediocre firms I'm just hoping I get a job with a company I really like, hence why I want to look early. But it's going to be senior year so I'll have plenty of time to do that and still enjoy school.

For real, I'm really enjoying this season. I also read the manga for this and it's an amazing arc that's starting with the culture festival now. Did you see the special ending for episode 5? It was really well done, super happy they did something like the chika dance again.

You should! It's more episodic so you can really watch one episode at a time, the ending was crazy though.

Yeah, I've really started reading more manga than watching anime at this point. I love seeing the anime adaptations of manga I've already read though haha.

Yes, those two shows are rocking this season. Did you see episode 5 of Kaguya yesterday? They really went all out, this is definitely one of my favorite anime adaptations. Spy x Family too! I've been reading the manga since like the 6th chapter came out on MangaPlus, so seeing this adaptation has been a dream. I even got some of my friends who don't watch a lot of anime to give it a try, it's really easy to get into.

I don't know if you've seen Cowboy Bebop, but I'm working through it right now and it's definitely one of the classics for sure. Would recommend if you haven't seen it.

yeah college is going well, finals start Friday. I'm not super worried about them though. How's it going for you?

It is a masterpiece! I love how raw and shocking the storytelling is.

I mean, I'd like to see a season 3. Or even a reboot if that's more manageable. But I think it would be difficult to retain the same kind of atmosphere the original anime series had with the modern way of making anime. Sure it's possible, but it would require a really good studio to be able to replicate it. A good example of an anime series losing the atmosphere of the original is the currently airing Higurashi, and to a lesser extent FMAB (when compared to the manga especially).

I'd like to see it. But I'd only be able to trust a select few studios to be able to faithfully adapt the atmosphere of the original anime series and the novels. So even if it does some day end up getting announced, I'd be a little skeptical most likely.

I do have more coming up, it's just that the stacked seasonals are back...

And IDK if you can get anything worthy from my selection, but the door is always open so you can just check anytime!

Oh, and if you specifically want something relating to the business and economics part of spice and wolf, watch Ascendance of a Bookworm. It's really great in that aspect especially. And great in all other parts as well. It's a great anime. Watch it if you're interested.

Well, other anime about economics aren't very similar to spice and wolf. But if you're looking for series with similar character dynamics and growth coupled with long dialogue, then Katanagatari(one of my personal favorites) is great for that. The monogatari series is also a similar in the character growth and dialogues kinda way. But these two are quite popular, so I assume you've already heard of/watched them. Another series that I've heard is similar but a little bit more niche is Crest of the stars, although I haven't seen that one yet.
