| Shinbo "co-directs" basically ever SHAFT anime in that he directs the entire studio, but he hasn't been series director for a long time for anything. Yukihiro Miyamoto was the series director and the co-director for Rebellion. Considering Rebellion is one of the most beautiful pieces of feature length animation ever created, I am looking forward to Miyamoto returning, since he hasn't directed all too much since Rebellion. But if he is NOT returning, that might actually be a good sign-- it would mean that he's too busy with the actual next installment of the series. |

Shoujo is the superior genre primarily aimed at young people. Harem/isekai are lazy genres that refuse any meaningful innovation. There is no 'Golden Age.' There will always be top-shelf anime. You should be watching Carole & Tuesday." |

| Yeah, I really hope this falls into the right hands. Idk about the extended madoka magica universe so hopefully this will be a quality anime instalment that makes sense of everything and brings us back to the brilliance of the main series. Hoping for studio Shaft and at least some of the same staff as before. |
| I just hope this does well so we can finally get a continuation after Rebellion. Rebellion's cliffhanger ending still kills me inside. I will never be able to rest until the plot is resolved. |

| I don't think Shinbo really directs half of the shit he's credited to these days. His staff knows his style well enough to mimic him well enough for most people not to notice. |

When I think of Madoka Magica, I think of Kajiura's music. That's not to take away from the great story or characters or anything - I'm just saying that her music is a HUGE contributing factor to why the series is so great. I definitely agree with you. She has a really unique style, in a good way. So much so, that when I was watching Kara no Kyoukai for the first time and heard the music, I shouted "this is DEFINITELY Yuki Kajimura!" Sure enough, it was. The same was true when I watched the Princess Principal PVs. |
