Ah yes, more dangerous stuff going on now....

That little child they encountered down there gave me the creeps. I mean seriously, dressed like that and treating everything like some game....scary. It kinda feels like they are in hell down there. My favorite part is when Muyo fights back with his own abilities to show just how powerful he is. Very impressive power if you ask me.

Weird cliffhanger.

They should add the horror tag it creeped me over a little in some of the scenes :D So we know now that it was the white hair guy (idk his name) replaced the sensei. I love the gory, mysterious vibe the show gives.

They've done a good job pacing this part of the story, nice job.
I can see where this series will end now.
I really hope it's doing well in Japan and gets a second season.

So why'd it take so long to get an enemy Muhyo can't just instantly beat?

The reason is, Muhyo isn't a battle shonen main character. He isn't learning as the story progresses, he is already an expert in his field.

Which was already established with the first ep. We could have easily had more cases where Rouji had to delay the ghost while Muhyo prepares the law.

Sophie was one scary spirit, even I was a bit terrified and Muhyo did a pretty good job summoning that hell marshal to bind her to hell. I guess her sin stems from being obsessive over beauty because of her sister (judging from the flashback).

Great episode and better than others, Bico is a kawai.

Claiming Muhyo is a genius executer in episode one and then having him struggle dealing with ghosts regularly would completely undermine that point. Not all shonen have to follow the same formula.

No it wouldn't it would just set them up as a big threat, expert/genius doesn't mean perfect. Even then it doesn't necessarily have to come off as him struggling, would you say he was struggling this arc? I wouldn't, there were just limitations to his powers that required the stalling tactics to work around it. Muhyo is still believable as an expert/genius and Sophie appeared to be a credible threat.

They point out in this episode the envoy to destroy Sophie would normally take the summoning of every several executioners. If they did that every episode it would come across as less believable. It worked well this time, because it was a one off. The fact they had to hold her off shows for Muhyo this one was a struggle. As it's said so far, normally executioners have Judges who hold off ghosts, but Muhyo didn't need or want one, he has a Roji.
If you put in terms of other shonen, say MHA, Muhyo is All Might. By doing it this way, it avoids power escalation problems and sticks to story telling rather than training montages.
The problem in your argument, is that you're arguing the show should be like every other shonen, just because something doesn't fit what you're used to, doesn't mean it's doing it wrong.

You're thinking about it too narrowly. Maybe there's a super quick ghost that needs to be pinned down so the law can get them. Maybe the ghosts try to use numbers to their advantage when the law can only get them one at a time. They could come up with all sorts of scenarios. It doesn't come down to power, but the application of their skills to a given situation.

The problem in your argument, is that you're arguing the show should be like every other shonen, just because something doesn't fit what you're used to, doesn't mean it's doing it wrong.
No, I'm arguing that there should be something to make it more interesting. Doesn't have to necessarily be the fights. Make the hauntings feel less bog-standard, throw in more comedy. It doesn't matter how. I do think it's picked up a bit, it's just frustrating that it took so long when it's so short too.

Oh yeah obviously Sophie had a dark past which drived her to act totally crazy like this, and damn a cliffhanger with Rio :/

The episode proved to be better and better. Despite having shitty assistant like Roji, Muhyo kept his style as the best executor by making a contract alone and killed Sophie in an instant. Yeah, its such a damn good partnership with everyone for only wasting time against Sophie. However, damn the cliffhanger. Lets just waste no time and goes to the next episode. Because its still related with Enchou plans in the previous one.

Pretty dark fight, with Muhyo saving the day like always. Seems my suspicions on Rio were right seeing those strange veins on her neck.

Of course the baddy of week needed to have a "reason for being evil" Japan/anime ppl stop making excuses for the bad guy/enemy. Evil doesn't always needs an excuse to exist.

Stop trying to make us feel pity for evilness/evil people. Evil is evil. The end.
Me every time I hear the word "reparations": 🤣🤣🤣
