THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Hikaru conceding homers quite easily was pretty sad to watch. Just when he was evolving into a really good pitcher, that was a really tough bump to his journey. You could tell he was crumbling, and he is normally a man who can keep his composure.

Atleast he did redeem himself with that banger of a home run.

Also, this episode showed how smart Andy really is as a tactician. Calling smart plays and making smart decisions to help his fellow teammates out. As well as playing not at his best condition. He definitely is great.

Daigo's and Nagai's words saved Hikaru, he was giving up.
He got two runs back, that's great!

I'll be straight up honest and say that Major 2nd is just as good as Major was. Terrific episode and the game just keeps getting more intense

good stuff, let's hope that season 2 comes around quickly cause I'm sure japan is loving their Major animated

I think the original is a bit better, but damn Major 2nd has been really great.

Agreed, I like Major 1 better of course. But Major 2nd is close, I'm surprised to see a sequel done well

Overall I think that Major is a better series, but if we were to compare only the first two seasons (where Goro is more or less the same age as Daigo), I think I like Major 2nd better. There isn't really a big difference in quality, but as a girl who loves sports, getting to see girls play key roles (like Sakura, Michiru, even Daigo's sister) makes me happy. That's something that the original series lacked. Although there was Kaoru, most of the time she was more of a romantic interest than anything, and it really annoyed me when she thought of giving up baseball/softball because of that (and then she got scolded by her dad and he beat some sense into her). There was also that one pitcher (I forgot her name), however in the end she was nothing but a side character. I don't remember other female characters that were also players. It'll be hard for Major 2nd to top Major S3 onwards, but in comparision to the first two seasons, I think it's pretty even, and I'm enjoying it more. :D

We can all agree that Major 2nd is criminally underrated right now. It's so much fun yet that rating just does not increase.

Hikaru crumbling under all the pressure was hard to watch. Thankfully he made up for it a little with his home run. Daigo's come a long way and showing a lot of growth with what he said to Hikaru about not giving up on the game. Some really good development for the both of them. Andy is the MVP of the game so far and easily the best player on the team. He's been consistently making fantastic plays all while dealing with his injury. I hope Daigo picks some things up from this. Looks like the ace is coming out next episode and their coach FINALLY wakes up.

Lmfao, Andy being a troll with his "base stealing"
I support Hikaru and Nagai ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Cool seeing Andy so composed and despite the show not actually telling he did, he managed to pick up the way the Touto Boys play, playing balls in a way that Michiru had a hard time hitting them for example.

what great ending and cliffhanger!

apart from that, good hikaru episode, i'm glad they didn't drag his part in the episode too much, after all it's something everybody have and he is a kid after all.

and of course daigo wants to win, he's his father son.

Wait so all those tricks Hikaru wanted to try out last episode was just nonsense big talk. Well good to see Hikaru after making error after error now has gained a new love for baseball that's not being in the spotlight by winning but doing his best together with others.
