| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Like first season of Osomatsu-san, it starts w. Showa screen. Oh, father's voice is original? Yoshiki?! (CV: Shinichiro Miki) About "not changing" caused father to saying various things... including mentioning of Osomatsu-san. Start changing... wide screen... Audition!! feat. Ozawa-san, FukuJun?? lol @ using FukuJun's voice for father. Surgery?? lol @ Black Jack. Ikemen father and 6 Bakabons? (like Osomatsu-san, but it's 6 Todo) Next father became Cambodian mother! Getting Tokyo City president to approve for change. OP starts here. So it's like continuous anime of Osomatsu-san. Stranger became Bakabon. Ishida-san's character became Rumba, and Bakabon became strangers. lol~ police officer wanting to join Exile? Getting captured. He/she wants Bakabon to be captured and rejected, so he wants sister to be captured. Real mother is mad. Finally changed to current style (colorful) and with current father voice. | This episode was in Heisei Tensai Bakabon style! Even though I don't know japanese I watched 1990's series - because there are a lot of "visual jokes" - and I couldn't be happier with Shinya referencing it, it was A++. But besides art style, it was a very disturbing episode. I kept saying things like "for God's sake, Papa... what are you even doing?..." while watching. But I extremely enjoyed this one. I mean, Papa changed his gender, he wanted his son to get arrested, he disowned his other son... All fathers do that, right? And he kept breaking the 4th wall. And as far as I know Papa is voiced by Hisahiro Ogura this episode - well, until Jun Fukuyama replaces him - who is actually his voice actor from 1999's Rerere no Tensai Bakabon. I'm kinda sad he was just a guest but Arata Furuta fits this role perfectly, he sounds exactly like Papa should. About other VAs, I was extremely afraid of Honkan and Rerere's voices because in Heisei and Rerere no they were voiced by Shigeru Chiba who fit their roles just right. So I was surprised to hear that Toshiyuki Morikawa sounds so cool. I had to get used to Akira Ishida's voice, though. I don't really think Miyu Irino fits Bakabon's role that well. He's my 2nd favorite VA but he sounds a bit too mature for Bakabon. Well, it's my opinion. Mama and Hajime sound really good. Anyway, this is actually my favorite show this season. I just love Tensai Bakabon so much. |
