I watched the first two episodes and it seems decent. It reminds me of Garo. Art is pretty good too. You can always give it a try.

I'm planning to review it later on tonight, but if you're interested in the quick summary of my take on it so far:

Like the guy above said, it is similar to Garo (Vanishing Line is the only one I've seen), the story has a lucid inconsistent pace with dozens of characters who pop in and out. Like Garo, the two main characters have some chemistry and are funny together but here we rarely see them together. The art is... good, about on the level of Garo. Mediocre CGI sword duels, passable character designs, inconsistent animation. Really gory.

I don't really like it because of the story and the way it's told, but you may find some enjoyment in the action and varied cast of characters.

Hated the first episode as it seemed random and was hard to follow, so I was going to drop it.

But decided to try one more just to give it a fair try and the second episode starts in a school setting with a typical school girl interaction with romance overtones. Stuff happens and he gets the sword arm (sorry if its a spoiler but it's in the show description, so I'm not going to tag it).

Will give it one more, then decide. Based on the first two episodes, it's not my kind of show as the characters have no development, the action is seemingly random and the rationale for getting the sword arm is just inexplicable, no matter how much good action it might generate later.

well the stuff people are saying here is the exact reason why i ask, i don't bother wasting time watching shows i wont enjoy, to much dank anime for that.
I remember clearly dislikeing garo when i watched the first episode(when it aired).
So thanks to these comments ill just stay clear, and stay hyped for the spring season. Good god, it's going to be wonderfull, finally getting a good season again.

If you're the kind of person who only watches things that are recommended to him then you shouldn't watch anime.

The problem is anime is only for the elites of the elites, example would be
wjxxhulka66n6, he is a elite among the elite among the elites! I bet he knows Japanese from only watching anime, a true elite!

Short answer: No.

Long answer: No, not yet. It might be once it's actually finished, but what we have so far feels like it ends in the middle of a sentence. I don't have any problem with the cast or the "jumping around", but it is quite irritating that absolutely nothing gets resolved, characters are introduced towards the end who are obviously important but don't have time to actually do anything, MC is still stuck in Shinji-mode, etc. All of my complaints could be easily rectified by the next cour, but until we know that there will be a continuation and get an idea how long this ride is going to last, I absolutely would not recommend this to anyone at this point in the series.

Gave up after two episodes. It's not inherently bad, however the story -- such as it was after two eps -- failed to entertain or offer up a hint that it would pick up. I've wasted too many hours on anime that turned out to be crap to do the same with this Netflix effort. I'm a huge Netflix fan, but they need to up their game a bit with anime.

I finished the show and I don't think this was well made. It jumps to unnessary things, character development sucks. And most of all they tried to cover lots of things in a very short time and you begin to lose interest after some time.

This anime had potential but some way they totally ruined it.

cliff hanger ending sucked ass. As if they want you to wait for season 2 to conclude that battle

well thank you, for the support.

what you guys don't get about basic media.
Is that we have the choice to go watch the stuff we know for sure we are going to enjoy.
you can check my profile and see that i'm no scrub to anime, though i don't have as much time as i used to have.
i'm a seasonal watcher now, so i go and try out 6-10 diff shows every season, dropping the ones that do not share my interests.

if you (wjxxhulka66n6/NovaMagic) fx played a video game you loved, got done, then had to chose a new one, this game looked somewhat like something you could see yourself playing, but when you ask you find out that it's Extremely repetitive and boring. would you still play it? or would you move on with your life to better and more fun games?

also when you become an adult one day, you see that you don't have time to watch everything always, a big reason why seasonal anime is great!
it's 40min ish of anime every other day.

so hope you have a great day, and appreciate a thread like this, making sure you have the most optimal time in life ;)

ps. egoist, great anime affinity there. rare to see such with my complet list :b

I've watched Netflix Part I or Season I to episode 8-9... Then I stopped. Initially I thought the show was introducing the characters and context surrounding the sword(s)/enchanted weapons. However, I realized most episodes were basically stand alones and did not move the plot forward much or provide any futher development of characters... In short, each episode seems to have a new character or set of characters, yet it's doubtfull they will even be seen again, or they are dead already--kinda lame plot line.

Admittedly, I did not watch any further, so I cannot say if the show picked up more on a common focus or more linear plot vs. the stand-alone episodes. I hope it does.
