It's super popular and even got voiced advertisements last year for the Square Enix magazine on TV. The story is well written and it's characters while super flawed are also compelling and likable. |

| That would explain it. I'm not so sure I'd say all the characters are well-written. It's a manga that suffers from the "everybody is actually messed up" stigma that you see in psychological manga and things that try to be edgy. Nobody is allowed to be normal. There are about two paedophiles within the first 10 chapters with the most insane motivations. Still, it sells, and it's an interesting manga that differs from others. I'll wait for the PV to have a better picture for the anime. |

I'm actually rooting for them in this dark as fuck tale where most of the adults and other people they've encountered are downright evil. Also throwing around the word "Edgy" because you don't like psychological manga is a cop out in itself. Edgy isn't a legitimate criticism. |
