 An official website has opened and revealed that light novel Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu (How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord) is getting a TV anime adaptation. More information will be revealed at a later date.Synopsis In regards to the MMORPG Cross Reverie, Sakamoto Takuma boasted an overwhelming strength that was enough for him to be called the Demon King by the other players. One day, he gets summoned to another world with his appearance in the game. There, there are two people that insist "I am the real summon master." Takuma gets slave-turning magic used for summoned beasts cast on him by the girls― However, the peculiar ability "Magic Reflection" is invoked! The ones that were turned to slaves were the girls! Takuma was bewildered. He's the strongest magician but, he doesn't have any social skills. Panicking, the first words that came out were the ones that he used inside the game role-playing the Demon King?! "I'm amazing you say? Of course I am. I am Diablo... The one feared as the Demon King!" This is the story the Demon King (acting) that would soon inspire the world and his other world adventure that he plunges through with his absolute strength, raise the curtain! | I am usually the first one to jump in and defend an isekai series, but this one is just... I mean the comedy aspect is quite OK and it's also enjoyable at times - the protagonist being a person with super low self-esteem and having communication disorder masked by a "demon king roleplay" is quite fun - but this series has one really problematic flaw: The writing is absolutely terrible! Inconsistent power levels and lore, as well as plot developments that require several characters to have a sudden temporary IQ drop by a value of 50. Why does a low-end isekai LN like this series get an anime, but top-tier isekais like kumo and tensei slime still don't have anything... keep in mind that tensei slime does occasionally get first place in LN sales (outperforming even the likes of re:zero) and even the manga adaption manages to get into the top-list sometimes which is actually quite unprecedented. |

| Yep, even the Novel readers doesn't like the news when I posted it on the forums... I guess, only few decent light novel will rarely get a proper adaptation like Legend of the Galactic Heroes or Seirei no Moribito with clear conclusion and proper ending I'm not sure if it would be better to see this anime fail or not. |

That was a good adaptation admitedly I can't think of any else in the magical school genre that were didn't totally betray their originals I agree that MMO like ones were a bit over-rated, But I like Accel world, despite it being the same author as SAO, Danmachi is good, but have you forgetten Konosuba? That one is hilarious. And occasionally a mediocre studio makes a really good adaptation: like Mondaiji Although in Mondaiji's case it had a 3 AM-ish time slot and got bad coverage. Oh yeah pardon me Konosuba is amazing but than a typical comedy it's a parody of isekai than a typical MC got reincarnated and becoming op with dumbbitch. Konosuba in the other hand have anti mainstream MC that actually quite smart and stupid at the same time with heroines the goddess herself that supposed to be overpowered yet dumb af, paladin that's a masochists and a useless mage. The troupe rarely in every isekai series i read or check because it define the comedy/parody genre while other isekai normally focused on edgy/mmorpg/fantasy/Adventure with pretty bad writings. This is why some people hate isekai, enjoyments always differs in each people but you can't deny the same trophe appears in every isekai input any tittle here. - MC edgy/op reincarnated - Get bitches - Straight to the problem itself before starting to develop the character and the world they're trying to describe and you cannot argue that literally 90% of them had no background whatsoever making them like 1 dimensional Characters. Isekai isn't only a thing in Japan but in western movies well except light novel could be written by anyone as long there's producer that willing to pick it up. Without quality filters and anything as long it's money, producer will pick anything they think good and risk making it than making old promising LN. I agree i liked Mahouka yet why didn't make any sequel for it? Movie doesn't count though. It's simple, advertisement, old trends, it probably doesn't sell. Simple as that. But god, this year we'll probably see like 5-10 or even more isekai that might remains unannounced. I will probably still try to watch it but thinking how generic most of them doubt it'll even pass more than 8. |

"i am the demon king" is pretty mcuh plot convinience but also plot blocking at the same time.... good luck whoever want to watch this... |
