I'm sorry if this is not the right place on the forum to post this, but I just noticed (while watching Fuuka) that Suzuka, an entirely different anime, is listed as the prequel, while Fuuka is listed as the sequel.

I understand that they have female main characters with blue hair, but even with that, their shades of hair color are not the same lol.

Anyway I just thought I would point this out as both anime have nothing in common. (One is about High Jump Rope while the other is about Music.)

In the manga description you can read that Fuuka a sequel to Suzuka, you can check the mal threads on how they're connected.
I don't know why people write that they are approachable persons,
if you were you wouldn't be on MAL.

Extended families or lovers on MAL are a farce.

Without giving to much away of the anime / manga, in case you haven't seen it yet. Suzuka's story is not connected, but the characters are. Also if you payed attention in Fuuka, in the first episode there's a huge spoiler towards how they are connected.

In the anime: "Kimi no Iru Machi" Both Suzuka and Fuuka also make cameo's.

Could tell you more if you'd like to know. But don't want to accidentally spoil anything.

I did notice that the scene used for the moment Suzuka/Fuuka perform the high jump rope was the same frame by frame scene that was originally in Suzuka, but other than that I honestly didn't notice anything that would have given me the idea that the two anime were connected. I also don't remember any of the characters in the Fuuka anime being in Suzuka?

In the first episode of Fuuka at 13:36 they drop a name. If you check out Suzuka's character list you might get the hint. If not I can just come out and tell you how they are connected. It's pretty straight forward with all the information you already gotten.

I didn't read everything from her character profile, but it does appear that the connection is there based on Suzuka's personality being a lot like Fuuka's. Both of them struggle with themselves, and are athletic. Also the way Fuuka acts around the main male character is very much the same type of relationship Suzuka has with Yamato.

I can see based on their character descriptions that they are a lot a like (Suzuka and Fuuka) but I would have to go back to that episode at the time you listed to see what connection there is between them. I honestly don't remember Fuuka mentioning having a sister who was into track or anything so I'm not sure if they are blood related characters or not? I'll have to look further into it sometime.

By any chance have you read Suzuka? Especially the ending as it is very clear what the connection is between the two characters. Also in chapter 184 of Fuuka it confirms the connection between the two (though the hints were very clear in both mangas).

However I'll tell you straight with;
