Finding myself bored, I decided read the web novels of Isekai wa Smartphone and found myself enthralled by the world building that many anime-only viewers or manga readers will remain unaware of. And the deeper things go, the less I can even imagine the anime getting a sequel. This is just what I found interesting, when looking back on the creation and the development of the Brunhild Dukedom...
*MAJOR SPOILERS* for light novel and maybe even web novel readers
Brunhild Dukedom (about 2/3 the size of Tokyo/London) is founded, with a population of 6 (Touya and his fiancés). His house staff will later join and the old mansion in Belfast become the Embassy Building of Brunhild.
A large castle is built in the centre of Brunhild Dukedom, using [Workshop] and materials from an abandoned mansion in Regulus. New castle has its own form of surveillance.
3 Beastman from Mismede are hired on, as the initial military force of Brunhild.
Due to further strife in Ishen, a lot of the Takeda clan flee to Brunhild, including the Four Heavenly Kings and will eventually serve important roles in: Construction, Agriculture, Security and Intelligence.
A Highway is built through Brunhild, connecting the border checkpoints of Belfast & Regulus, thus creating a vital new trade route.
Shops and houses start springing up thanks to the highway, including a Brunhild Branch of the Silver Moon Inn, Zanakku's Fashion Shop & Alba's Strand Trading Company.
Emissaries from the Ramisshu Holy Kingdom arrive in Brunhild Dukedom, to proselytize and spread the faith. Jesus-kun kicks them out and reforms their religion.
With all the merchants and adventurers arriving in the city, Touya holds a recruitment drive for a new Knight Order. Over 1,000 candidates apply and after 3 test and 1 interview, 64 pass (37 male || 27 female), including a bunch of demonkin and beastman (very diverse).
A baseball field is built and the sport of baseball quickly grows in immense popularity amongst the Western nations. And it becomes a thing for friendly nations to gather and compete with one another.
With the acquisition of [Alchemy Building] & [Hanger], mass production of the Frame Gear begins.
After helping to solve the political turmoil of Rynie Kingdom, they join the "Western Alliance" (Brunhild, Belfast, Rifurizu, Mismede, Regulus, Ramisshu & Rynie). Each member is giving means of instantaneous message delivery with one another and travel to Brunhild.
A branch of the Adventurers Guild is built in Brunhild, along with a bar and prison, with specialized prison cells that inflict torturous punishment on the individual.
An assassination attempt is made on Touya, with the likely suspects being from Yuuron. So Touya decides to conduct some foreign intervention of his own and builds a wall (not sure who pays for it).
Massive Fraze invasion occurs in the Yuuron Empire. The Western Alliance mobilize in the first joint operation, involving 250 Frame Gear vs 13,000 Fraze. There is mass collateral damage.
Fake news begin to spread about Touya's misdeeds in Yuuron, so he utilizes The Guild to globally spread his own propaganda.
The Restia Knight Kingdom join alliances with Brunhild, by means of joining families (+1 fiancé).
Due to the lack of magic beast around Brunhild Dukedom, adventurers are causing problems for The Guild in the city. With the help of The Guild, Touya acquires several magic beast filled islands and creates portals to dungeons on said islands, back in Brunhild for the adventurers to farm loot.
An island of young dragons and wyverns decide to pick a fight with Brunhild. Touya uses this as an opportunity to train his Crystal Knight Order. Hundreds of dragons are slaughtered and Brunhild become obscenely wealthy & notorious in the process.
Establishes trade relations with Federation State of Rhodomea, after helping one of their central provinces with a Fraze raid.
A global earlier warning system is set-up, to help combat the Fraze, with the help of The Guild.
A large "Big Ben" inspired clock tower is built in the middle of Brunhild Dukedom, along with a hospital and later a school for children & a school for young adventures.
A major Brunhild lead construction project connects the Kingdoms: Restia, Rhodomea, Lyle & Felzen with one another.
A downgraded version of the Smartphone is mass-produced and distributed amongst important people within Brunhild Dukedom (family, house staff, military personnel & intelligence agents). Along with the Guild masters and the leaders of the East-West Alliance.
Due to the marked increase in public disorder and Fraze attacks, there is a 2nd recruitment drive for Knight Order members that attracts over 3,000 applicants from all over the world. After a grueling testing process and interview, 131 pass.
Slavery in the Kingdom of Sandora is abolished. Touya then spends the following month processing the thousands of kidnapped slaves, back to their respective homelands. A lot end up choosing to emigrate to Brunhild, thus greatly increasing the population.
The 15 nations of the World Alliance gather for tournaments and competitions (Brunhild, Belfast, Rifurizu, Mismede, Regulus, Ramisshu, Rynie, Restia, Rhodomea, Lyle, Felzen, Hanok, Elfrau, Paruf & Xenoas). Then later to negotiate the construction of a freight train line.
Mutual relations are established with the once closed off island Palerius.
A dimensional gate to another world is built, allowing Touya to set up a foothold in this other world and form mutual beneficial relationships.
Technology from the other world is imported and analyzed, which leads to the creation of things like magic cars that are sold to members of the World Alliance. In hopes that they will improve on the technology themselves.
And shit just escalates from then on...

I f'n love the books as well, but unfortunately I'm stuck at the pace of the official LN translations and RaisingTheDead's unofficial web novel translations (they're at Ch 209 right now). I try to read ahead a bit by Google-translating the web novel chapters, but it's kind of tough to figure out what is going on at times. Wish I could time-travel and catch up to Ch 450+...
