| I believe that after the time skip Hoshino is also objectively better considering the fact that he is the ace of the Japanese National Ping Pong Team. But before the time skip I would say that Hoshino is still better based off of the fact that he was Injured and smile continued to attempt to beat him. We also saw him enjoying the match and when he enjoys the match he tries the most. |

| Yeah, Peco was BETTER player in the final BECAUSE he WON against Smile even when he was injured (this is arguable because some characters said Peco played like he was not injured anymore). From what little highlights what we saw, Smile was also showed struggling againts Peco. Smile was basically a perfect player before. Perhaps Smile was not far better than Kazama (another perfect-type of player), and Peco owned Kazama too after he found out his rhythm. |
