| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- -The sound Ichigo makes when she falls down the stairs is hilarious. It's like "ATETETETETETETETETE!" -This is the second time those kids have helped out a couple in danger of breaking up. Speaking of which, I wonder if we're getting some romance any time soon. |

| Yup! That was the first time I'd ever heard of such a cake, and I didn't know if it was a weird Japanese appropriation of another country's food, or what. I also wasn't positive it was a cake. And I kept thinking of the giant bear-cat thing when the dorm mother made it. I really want one. But the fact that I had never even heard of it until I watched an anime doesn't bode well for my chances. I may have to make one. |
| After watching this episode, I went to google for 'baumkuchen' and realised there are tonnes of variations- different sizes and different flavours (e.g. topped with chocolate) etc. Now I really want to get my hands (and sink my teeth) on one. |

I do. ;D Actually, it's a large tamagoyaki pan - you can get them in Japan. Though I have to say, I haven't seen them anywhere else aside from Japan... unless you order them on the net or something. It's too bad you can't make baumkuchen in a normal pan. D: It gets all uneven (I suppose that's obvious... haha). Actually, maybe I'm just being nitpicky, but I didn't like the episode that much, even though I could see that it was actually a good episode. But Ichigo falling down the stairs is indeed hilarious, though I can't imagine how much that'd hurt in reality. XD |
