And I like how, as a self-insert, he's balanced (aka "normie bland boring") between hyper-lewd "rapist protagonist" Kazuma and the angelic, nearly asexual, "gotta shun em all" Tenchi and Kenshi. "Balance" in this case meaning around 85% toward the latter. As I've said before, I feel like this anime was made exclusively for me and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. |

| Putting aside, the overpoweredness of the MC, I like how calmly he reacts to everything. I also like he still has some humanity in him after dying and being reincarnated. |
| Simply said their god is a discriminator, he choose one person gave him superpowers and doesn't care for the rest of people. I wouldn't even pray to such stupid god who gives all to just one "lucky" person ignoring the rest who are in need to, not because of jealousy but of unfairness. Jesus wouldn't use his powers like this MC does, even if Jesus had power of "miracles" he didn't abuse them, but our MC goes around like some kind of god who doesn't fear anything nor does he know misery or sadness cause he can "cure" every illness or use "magic" to make unreality as reality and create his harem. This show/story becomes boring after a couple of episodes. If it had somewhat darker theme like him miss using his powers or became one of the "bad guys" it would be more interesting. Right now it's simply bad. |

| Sure, the MC is damn powerful, and has yet to meet a problem that he cannot overcome with wits and magic. That's fine - judging from the LNs I've read, there is going to be some problem that needs a hero of his caliber. Something about that crystal bug returning with his friends. What matters is, how is the MC going to use his powers? Is he going to bring chaos and tyranny? Is he going to become a Gandalf-like figure, going all over the world and making things right? Is he going to bring industrial revolution to a fantasy world? So far, he seems to be the second option, and I'd like to see it to the end. Or at least more fun, if they duplicate some of his "inventions", like shogi, by more mundane methods. Overall, I would say that people in that fantasy world already have what they need - they have magic, they have monsters for use as materials, and they can become stronger on RPG scale. People should take care of themselves, and only ask god for help when that is not enough. They are adults (well, except those of them who are children). |

| This show has no sense of danger. Character is not only OP but has the gift of extremely convenient timing. Main characters becoming extremely OP in isekai shows is beyond common but the way this show handles it is not entertaining. |

| Was going to make a new thread but I'll just leave this here; This anime is terrible... so terrible that it circles back and becomes enjoyable. Every episode they go over the top and you think "it can't possibly get any more over the top..." And then you watch the next episode and they do it and you once again think they can't go any further... etc etc... First "I have a smartphone that works despite there being no cell service network anywhere" second "I know ALL the magic" third "I'm now basically set to become king in the future" fourth "I own a home with many beautiful young ladies all pining for me" fifth "I just took down a dragon pretty much on my own" sixth "I have a magic gun that auto reloads and switches between a gun and a sword" I swear, next thing you know he's going to make a god damned car or a friggin helicopter.... (if this does actually happen in the manga don't tell me. I haven't read it or really plan to) Honestly this is just bad. Bad writing, bad character development, bad plot... I just can't look away. It's a guilty pleasure watch. But yea, he's basically god at this point. Kirito had a reason he was so good at the game. | I wouldn't call him "Jesus-kun." I'd call Seed (Destiny)'s Kira Yamato "Jesus-kun" because he's Mitsuo Fukuda's Gary Stu character. And calling Kiritu "Jesus-kun" doesn't work because SAO features people trapped in a video game world. Touya basically has the power of Jesus-kun but not the backbone to go farther. He's a young guy who "wants things." But he's also a Japanese young guy. Which means that he still gets punched in the gut for looking at women wrong. AAMOF; I wish Touya was more like Akuru from Aho Girl or Sento from Charger Girls. But hey. Touya's not really too bad. He was able to complete stuff that pussy-arse shounen leads would never do. |

I feel like this is what I'm gonna do if I'm in his position, or even better, since I can basically be anything, even call God on a daily basis. |
