Not really sure what was going on with that black bird, but it sure is a tough life being an animal and finding food in the winter.

It was funny except the dance at the end.

When he plucked that bird at the forest and turned out to be very skinny, I laughed so hard especially when it collected its feathers. The plant plucking was also good, I chuckled when it divided itself into father/mother and son/daughter. Either I loved it a bit.

Ooo! I loved them dancing to Haru ga Kita/ 春の来た in the end! I learned the song in either Japanese 101 or 102 but actually thought it was just a song from Doraemon since the song lyrics were on a handout with Doraemon on it. So as soon as I heard the song playing I was like, "Wait, is that... omg!"
SO! I learned some new stuff today! It was apparently composed in 1918, which is really interesting since the year before is when the first anime is said to have been made.

It's always really cool to hear such historical songs in older anime. You don't get to hear them as much in newer titles.;;

Very pretty song when you hear it in person! My professor's voice wasn't the best, but she managed to carry a lot of nostalgia with the tune which made the song hit harder. You could tell she was VERY familiar with it. I thought it was because of Doraemon, but the familiarity goes even deeper than that as I've now learned.

Anyway, nice and straightforward anime!
