First of all, I don't understand why they use recycled frames. This is 2017 and the anime is not something like Yugioh or Pokemon. Therefore, unless they manage to show some amazing stuff in the upcoming episodes, I don't see how this anime can be considered "good" in terms of animation besides maybe a breath of fresh air.
Second, the action animation is quite bad. My reasoning is that I find the action animation in this anime to be choppy and filled with bad camera works. It is filled with too much camera cuts into explosions and doesn't show the impact of the actual attack. A good example is the first 2 minutes of the first episode where One Autumn Leaf is introduced. I expected the spear to pierce the golem and then show the explosion, not a flying spear into a camera cut and explosion.
Also, a side note is that it would have generated a more powerful image if afterwards they animated him picking up the spear that is stabbed into the ground in the midst of the fire instead of just showing him standing there with it magically in his arms again. Another camera cut into explosion happens again within the same episode when he fights the midnight cat.
Thus, compared to other Japanese animation that animate the whole scene in a fluid third person perspective, this anime's animation generate confusion and the lack of 'impact' behind each attack. The difference is like watching a classic and realistic martial art film's fight choreography compared to watching some fake amateur choreography filled with many camera cuts.
Overall, the combat animation is quite bad and hard to follow considering how the anime is rumored to have a hefty budget with Tencent behind it. It seems like China still has a long way to go.
For that, the anime is 6/10 for me so far.
