So a mission involving guiding a convoy this episode...interesting.

Thought Grafin's role this episode was rather amusing, she looked like she's high lmao. I think the Hikari and the girls did good work on their mission. The enemy they fought looked pretty awkward, reminds me of something from a video game lol

Kupinski going the extra mile for a girl at a price tho.
Seems the enemy will be back with a surprise and i wonder what it will be.
Next week should be nice.

Oops... they went a bit light on the sound effects. There's a lot of silent actions in the combat scenes.

Frame rate on some of the battleship scenes is lacking too...

What happened to the series' production quality? DX

...oshit, it's the regenerating ones again!

jeah the action was nice and krupinski is probably my fav girl atm.
But the quality looks like 10 years old. Not the good 10 years old, the type of anime that just discovered CGI is a thing.
I may have to rewatch strike witches again but I cant remember it looking this bad.

Next time I see a carton of grape juice at my local supermarket, the first thing that'll pop into my mind will be Krupinski's face. She loves the stuff a little too much honestly. ^^;

I couldn't help but be very interested in the land-based witches, but sadly, they only got about 2-3 seconds of screen time before the next scene came along. Maybe we'll see something about the land-based witches in the future?

The Neuroi was pretty interesting this time around and, although it seemed like the Brave Witches won their battle, the Neuroi itself isn't dead, and worryingly, it regenerated once again, taking in Krupinski's flight unit as well. We haven't seen the last of that particular Neuroi, that much is pretty obvious.

However, the fight animation was a proper letdown. At times, it was pretty good, but then it fell off a cliff and produced some terrible animation sequences too. Some of the explosions and shots were too silent and the ships moving out of the way seemed to be suffering from heavy frame rate drops. Weirdly, a minute to two later, the same ships moved the same way it did earlier, but at a much better frame rate. =/

The last show I watched from Silver Link was the AntiMagic Academy 35th Test Platoon, and it's fight animations, both 2D and 3D CGI were much better than Brave Witches. Let's hope Silver Link sorts their animation problems out before Brave Witches comes out of Blu-Ray/DVD. While most of the animation is fine, certain parts of it drop towards the level Orange got to when it's animation quality went 5,000 miles backwards.

Overall, despite the animation woes, it was still a good episode, and next week looks like it'll be drama focused between Hikari and Nao.

I imagined a richer narrative twists, truly, there was someone, even if it turns out that it is the best in the final, oh well lose the script. I'm already rubbing their hands seen what happens in the epilogue. Interesting how the narrative always binds more, the events of those seen in Strike Witches. Too bad you do not speak of those new units seen for a few seconds during the narration, perhaps the intent is to make another spin-off, I can not wait. Re watching the anime Strike Wiches and comparing it with Brave Witches, the big difference between the two anime series, you immediately notice. Anyway I think it's a point in his favor, having reduced the scenes of fanservice.

Peolw whining about this season production values are clearly forgot S1. Yes. there is more CGI than inmmovie/OVAs but i8t is much better that the had in S1. It is decent level for TV series, especially concidering how busy Silver Link is lately.

Krupinski continues to amuse me lol

So hopefully improving video quality during the 2-month delay will also mean improving sound quality, because yeah, the Neuroi was particularly quiet this episode.

Finally a glimpse of the ground-based witches, also in the anime! There are few limitations of all the type of spin-offs who is possible in this universe! :D

They just had to sail around the neuroi-free Baltland, had they? Not just go through it? Is there some kind of law that forbids any kind of mentioning and relations in/to/from Baltland in these series? Just considering how many voluntary soldiers, material, airplanes, road vehicles and winter uniforms that Sweden sent to Finland during the real ww2...

Who else is hoping for a ground-based witches spin off? It has the potential to be awesome.

Krupinski proved herself to be bad-ass this ep. I like her STG44, though it's one of the lighter weapons used by the witches.

Nice to see the tank witches finally show up in the animated side of the franchise after Shimada introduced them several years ago in a couple of the manga stories, and over a decade since he began his trek to mecha musume godhood with his tank girl figures.
Also, interesting that they slapped a modern weapon concept (under-slung grenade launcher) to Krupinski's STG44...

Hmm a Waltrud focused episode eh

hmm those Neuroi look like insects lol
supply lines are just as important as weapons in war glad that they realize this

Hmm a escort mission eh
lol they won't need an escort if they are carrying grape juice

hmm a weapons crate as a weapon eh
thats what they would need most i guess

hmm a rune that looks like a kitty lol
thats cute
but judging from the others i think thats just a normal attachment

Lol Waltrud getting rejected by Hikari lol
nice hiding microfilm inside snacks lol

be funny if they actually accidentally swallowed it
hmm so they were reports on a new weapon system that was developed
that uses Neuroi cores too

using Neuroi gear to fight against Neuroi itself eh
but since the prototype went out of control
are they still trying to create it again
dangerous thing there

lol Waltruds obsessed with grape juice eh
hmm reindeer stew eh
from the route of the convoy im actually reminded off the arctic convoys
of ww2 because they used the same route lol

So Waltrud will have command eh lol
Waltrud only needs to see a cute girl to say yes to anything lol

Nice to see Waltrud training though
since she's usually pretty carefree
the wars been raging for some time eh
even the best soldiers will get weary after so long

hmm so Waltrud chose those three because she wanted them
to have more combat experience eh

Lol Waltrud getting punished by sensei for wasting time
Well having 4 witches as escort plus the Britannia one seems to be
a bit of a overkill but can't be too careful i guess

well considering the distance and the fact the witches are still human
they will need to rest after all

lol Nippa really needs to treat her unit better

it makes sense that each base will have their own squadron protecting it

and its nice to see that they are getting new units as well
lol so grape juice is wine eh
lol getting drunk in a sauna eh thats a first

lol drunk Waltrud is even more funny
and dangerous as well

hmm i knew things were too easy for the convoy
now they have a convoy defense battle on their hands

man the convoy commander sure has guts and bravery
using his ship as a shield

hmm who knew that Waltrud was so calm under fire
despite being hungover she gave some pretty clear commands

combat scenes is still pretty good as well
especially the ones with the warships
but the convoy battle was pretty well done
lol Waltrud deflecting that neuroi right back at it to reveal the core

at least she survived being shot down and lol that charm actually working

so the new witch is Adelheid then eh
well Waltrud gets her reward i guess

that last bit with the Neuroi recovering the unit though

Interesting the new adventure of the 502 th, above all it has way of knowing better the character of Krupinski. The storytelling as well as being intriguing for the presentation of infantry Witches (which we will never see in action, alas), is also fun. The cliffhanger is very interesting, I can't wait to see the next episode.

More focus on Krupinski this time. She's fun to watch, but her lesbian tendencies can get quite annoying after hearing the same thing over and over again.

As i thought, Waltrud kinda funny with all of her womanizer antics. Even though she had an aftereffect symptoms after got drunken in the night before, she still went all out demolished the Neuroi that disturbed the supplies ship convoys in their way to reached Orussian's territory at Murmansk. Thanks to Hikari's charm protection, its saved Krupinski Waltrud from a heavy damage after get crushed with that Neuroi. Lol, its sure as hell that its a miracle! However, the Neuroi survived in the end, though, i mean, how? And its even absorbed Waltrud's Striker Unit. Well, the next episode might be a bad news for the Murmansk base, before they could begin an all-out attack on the Neuroi nest in the far east of Orussian. Lets see their respond about that.

And yes, these episode already confirmed a ground-based witches, which was looks so funny on their forms. They just looked like a real robot mecha, there. I wonder if they could make their appearance longer in the next series, or maybe they had their sole serialization in the near future? Since Neuroi at the grounds already confirmed their existencies by some scene ....

Well, despite having some obvious let-down of their animation elements that looks like off in a certain scene at the action sequences, and even a sound departments too, overall these was still a good episode to explained well about Waltrud's characterization....

lol, Krupinski just tries to flirt with literally everyone.. ;P Well, maybe not everyone.. But still.. ;P
It seems that this juice isn't actually a juice.. ;P
I'm glad that Krupinski got alright, when battle came.. But she could consider drinking a bit less.. Well, maybe she will, maybe she just hasn't drunk anything for ages..
Yeah, I thought that position of that metal would save Krupinski.. Nice thing, I like it.. ;P

This is the first time I learned about that Liberator gun. Interesting.

Krupinski reminds me of myself so much. lol

Ground based witches? are they the "tanks"? I think this is the first time they showed one.

Hmm, I should turn my Luger into a charm as well... for good luck. lol

Given the Krupinski focus, I expected to like this episode more, but I was reminded why I didn't love this series in the first place. The action scenes are so bad. Honestly, the best part of the episode was the mid-episode eye-catch.
