The first 2017 issue of Shounen Champion magazine, which goes on sale on December 1, has announced that manga Baki: New Grappler Baki will receive a TV anime adaptation. It will adapt the "Saikyou Shikeishuu" (Most Evil Death Row Prisoners) arc, the first of the three arcs from the manga. More information regarding the new anime will be announced in the future issues of the magazine.

The Baki anime project was previously announced in celebration of the manga series' 25th anniversary. An OVA bundled with the 14th limited edition volume of the Baki-dou manga is scheduled to be released on December 6, 2016, also adapting the "Saikyou Shikeishuu" arc.

Drawn by Keisuke Itagaki, Baki: New Grappler Baki is the sequel manga of Grappler Baki, the second in the overall series. The manga was serialized in the Shounen Champion magazine for 31 volumes between 1999 and 2005.

This is a full anime series? If so this is fantastic news, Baki is a great series. It's about time we got this, there's dozens of those girly magical moe garbage anime's so it's about time.

Pretty sure it was adapted completely although it changed the order of the arcs (didn't hurt the series in any way though).

Great news, Baki is fun as hell.

The art getting worse as the manga gets older is pretty funny though.

Hmm the artstyle reminds me of JoJo honestly, also with the pose in the poster makes it quite similar in a way for me. But other than that I'll probably give it a watch around, honestly.

Awesome! I wouldn't have been satisfied with just an OVA of this.

Are you saying they adapted 42 volumes in just 2 seasons!?

Pretty sure that yeah
As I said maybe they missed some stuff here and there (can't really know since the first part isn't fully translated) but as I understood everything was adapted.

I'm still skeptical, but it'd be great if what you're saying is true.
